hello everyone,
its more than a month now in bimtech.life is sailing along with seminars,guest lectures,pdp sessions,assingnments and many more.recently we had navdeep sir and roshan sir here with us.they were the tata cubicle winners in 2003 and enlighted us with their presence.they conducted a quizzing session only for us (juniors).we all managed to get all the chocolates,pens and books that were assinged as prizes....roshan sir is the recent winner of tata cubicle (corporates) from hcl.
well on a personal note i am not very much into quizzing but at the end of the session i realised how important it is to survive in the corporate world.
@ramit sir
please sir manage outsome time to meet us juniors once again.it was a wonderful session and we all felt gr8 when u all were here.please oblige us making an another visit here.
@vandana maam.

and all the best!!

Hey,

Wooah...it's been so long since i have reported to this board. A lot has been happening, and i really mean it when i say a "LOT".

Life has been a roller coaster ride since I have joined, the ever rockin "BIMTECH" (YEAH! it rocks)

It's been almost a month for me in BIMTECH, and I must say...I haven't got a single minute of thinking anything else apart from it. New friends, Hostel Life, Assignments, PPT's and the NILAYAM 😃 life is just sailing at the speed of light.

Coming to seniors, The interaction's were the best part, althought there were some tremors, but in the end it's all about enjoying those moments, because we know once we leave...they are what we will cherish the most.

Now that the academic level is gaining pace, I can already feel the heat.

@Ramit Sir:
Sorry Sir, As I was not able to catch up with you when you visited the campus, next time I will make it sure to be the first person to meet you.

@Vandy Mam:
Sorry mam, for getting back onto the board so late...I hope now I stay a regular over here :)

Cheers!!!

hi everyone,
after a long week i went out to watch "corporate" by madhur bhadarkar....awesome movie!! i felt that every mba aspirant should see it to understand what are the brutal facts of the corporate life!
rest apart the movie came with the message that "in corporate you cannot afford to take decisions from your heart....."
it was entertaining at the same time with the lovely song "lamha lamha..."
well no more movies for me till the 1st trimester....its knocking at the door!
but i will make sure to stay regular to pg!!
bye and have fun!

true, very true regarding corporate. Decisions just cant be be taken from the heart. Such decisions are simply recipies to disasters.
Apart from this, some news and insights, regarding the happening in the lives of the 1st yr bimtech PGDBMs.
Our 1st trimester exams are not just knocking on the door, but they are banging on our doors, also to add to the pressure, "MID TERMS" are here, though we have been given a tentative date that they will start from the 9th of this month, I really hope there is some divine intervention or something and they get postponed. (I really have to start studying.).

So So, thats it for now,

hi everyone.
the mid terms are here and now what i have realised is that mba is not just about studing ....rather smart studying.well the concept is new to people like us who are from core academic backgrounds....but am sure we will all manage it within a short span of time.
@ ramit sir,
long time sir no post from you.please do come up with suggestions which will help us when we are out from here to the corpo sectors.you are there and you must be knowing it all.please enlighten us!
@vandana ma'am
long time no response from you as well ma'am....please come up with ur relavent guidence.
bye and have fun!

Hi everyone

certainly the mention of mid-terms is enough for all of us to put ourselves in the top gear. because the Ist trim is also round the corner (the schedule has been announced) & not to forget that v have to prepare and work on the assignments,case studies & presentations,
& i really want to do justice to the marketing project as well. god knows if & all my group & the all the Ist year PGDBM students r going to make the best of such a test of character,ability & stamina in the coming 15 days.

ALL THE BEST

Hi All!
Happy Friendship day!
I remember that 2 years back i started my journey wid bimtech on this very day1..(yes our course started in August!)
Neways... gud to see the progress here...

@Enakshi:
It's really heartening to see ur enthu abt learning the corporate tricks..
Well to be very frank... i m still lying low on the learning curve and more importantly... u must learn to learn first!...yes it's true that it happens that at the end of 2 yrs u feel that a lot cud have been done or rather learnt and remember thr r no shortcuts... I had the opportunity to learn thru my work in Place comm hence the mantra is to read a lot and try and participate in every event and conference and rest will follow...
M always thr for any help u may need!
Tc!
Cheers!

Hi everybody,
Sorry for posting this message so late.
We had visit by the Mumbai dabbawallas to our campus last week, it was an excellant experience, I was completely humbled by their achievement, it was at that point I realised, "Education" is definitely not the guarantee road to success. They are uneducated people running one of the most effecient businesses in the world, they have a effeciency ratio of 99.999999%, that is 1 mistake in 16 million transactions!!!! c'mon beat that, and on top of that they have had no strikes since their inception in 1890 (talk about employee morale), if that is still not enough guess what their chain consists of about 5000 ppl and perfect co-ordination between them, I am not done yet, guess what they charge only Rs. 300 per month from each customer, (Now thats customer value.)
Their achievements just can't be put into words. This was just a small brief I mentioned here.

Finally, I just want say to them, "Thank You, Sirs, for coming to Bimtech and enriching us with your vast experiance. Thank You once again."

Thats it for now folks,
Ashwin
