The following modification to Paragraph 9 of the Recruitment Notification which deals with passing in each section of the Tests separately is hereby notified: “The marks obtained in Section 5-English Language shall not be counted for the purpose of ranking.” All other Terms and Conditions of the Notification published in the Employment News dated 09/03/2013 along with modification as notified earlier shall remain unaltered.
Does this mean there will be no sectional cut-off for English?
Also, those who have already given the exam, do we need the xerox copy of the id proof or only the call letter and showing them the original id proof would suffice?
can some one tell me....wat is d best way to do analogies ?
my vocab is poor.....is there any particular process of leaning analogies ?

For mathamatics —
1-Ques are easy but lots of … lots of calculations were there …even d DI was very calculative
2-If u can mug up ..square upto 30 – 50 … it will help u a lot as ans are close .. & u need accuracy + speed Also cube upto 19
3- Series ques … are easy dont get scared just do add / difference / .. u can do that …
4- 2-3 ques from ages, SI , percentage ,profit loss
For Rsg —approx ques
1- 2-3 que syllog , 4 data sufficiency , 4 inequality
2 – two puzzle …
a> 4 ques…ram on 6 floor , s on 5 … like that … easy one
b> 6 ques…seating arngmnt , tough 1
For GK ..easy

Deuce term – Tennis
budget ques = 2-4 … who present budget – chidambaram
health scheme in budget --- asha or jaldhara or MNREGA or IAY ...like tht ?

I had given LIC AAO paper today ,11 may 2013.
It was easy… need 5 mins more to give the best i have .
I attempted 134 ques .
M= 28 R= 23 Cr=25 Gk=28 E= 30
Since eng marks not to be counted in rank . So, competition is more tough .
I thnk topper wud get around 240 out of 300 .(exclude eng)I am hoping around 200 .
Am I in the safe side or not ?

Hi.. I attempted LIC AAO exam today (11th) @ 2 PM
QN paper was moderately easy ( there were trap qns where you get stuck and end up losing much of your time) 6-8 qns in Reasoning were really tough.. One Problem solving with with 6 qns really gave me a headache and i ended up losing 30 mins and not even finding the answer.
The data interpretation contained lot of basic math operation qns with complex values. eg., 5/6 of 13/ 37 of sq root of 2096/ cube root of 40975 = 40000- x . find 'x' ? kind of
there were 10 of these and 1 data interpretation and 8-10 serieses qns.
English section waS easy, para jumble, word filling , comprehension
GK was simple tp moderately difficult, with lot of qns on banking
Computer awareness was a cake walk

LIC AAO afternoon slot exam started from 2 o' clock
computer-27 was easy
gk-20 mostly current affairs and headquater of organization werr asked one ques from lic
eng-22 eng was easy but there was one passage i felt it was lengthy overall found it lengthy .donno what would be the cutoff i have less number of attempts 😠
quants-21 very calculation based cubes and squares of large numbers were asked
res-20 same as po with 2 q's on assumption and conclusion
overall 100% sure on quants res comp and gk i guess attempts are enough to clear the cutoff goin by prev year
Well not tough after all but as usual time limit constraint is always there. I attempted 131 out of 160.

I think cut off will be higher this time. My paper was on 11 th May, 2013 morning shift. Lets see what happens.

Attempt will not work here.......how someone can attain 30 out of 26 or 24 even...because series question are really tough and some question in maths are to tough where you need to solve qube root and squre root than after solving find out "?".......being Master in Mathamatics it hart to solve 25 Question in 40 Min..................I have already clear AAO Paper Twice
