Since there are serious aspirants here anxious about the result and cut-off. Lets only poll on the very determining factor GK to rule it out. I humbly request friends here to not post your expectations and push dis poll down at least for this one day. But okay with anything that happens :P. Let dis be our assumption for General category so tat OBC can be lesser than this and SC/ST lesser than that.

Once an Indian was finding a job in USA.
He got a job as a salesman in a departmental store.
In the very next day of his joining.. The owner of the store asked him how many customers did u attempted?
The Indian simply replied ONE.
The owner became very angry and told the Indian that others have attempted at least 10 customers. I must seriously think about your appointment. And then he asked him about the amount of money he earned from that one customer.
The Indian replied 2 lakh.
The owner was shocked. He asked how?
Then our Indian buddy answered,
He sold a fishing rope to the customer. Then he sold fish food to him for catching the fish. He also sold him basket to put fish. He asked customer to buy an Umbrella and a chair to seat in the hit. He also convinced the customer to buy a speed boat if he want to go in deep water to catch the fish. And finally he gave him food packets to eat while fishing.
Then finally he told the owner that he did not sold the customer the medicine for headache for which he actually came to the store. Instead he convinced the customer to go for fishing as its the best way to cope up with headache.
The store owner was stunned and asked the Indian whether he could take the owners position from next day.
This is a proud story of Indian guy. But it doesn't stop here. Real part comes now. At the end when the store owner asked the Indian what he was doing in India??

Those who r saying cut-off will be very high. This is not a 200 marks usual paper.
Say , those who are getting 250-260 ( after having checked GA) just get 2 questions wrong in comp , 2 in quant and 2 in reasoning respectively. This is not 200 marks paper that they'll loose just 7 marks or so.
deductions will be that they loose 5 in comp , 7.5 in quant , 7.5 in reasoning ........and straight away down to 20 marks loss just due to mere loss of 2 question in all 3.
New marks will be 230-240 just for a couple mistake !!

yar .......mujhae to yae lagta hae sabko pata hota hae apna aur paper easy tha but accdng to me computer and gk is good ......they play cruical role........and why all the person are comparing to last year ...only 100 seats are last year .....now around 350 only for generaal.....so i think cutoff will be 208-----220.....

important question many of candidates .....who selected in ibps po nd rrb po .....will also clear lic aao ......but joining will come before lic result for sure ..... so they have to pay bond of 2 lakh in maximum banks ...... so guys would u pay bond nd leave bank nd join lic .....or is it too much to pay 2 lakh coz salary and increment in bank is far better then ao .......... nd would continue ur job leaving lic for others
I have somewhat different perspective regarding sectional cutoffs. As per my observations, sectional cut offs are not determined by the level of competition. The exam conducting body decides a cutoff for a particular section on its own analysis of the paper and the level of expertise it seeks from the candidate in that particular section.
So now in this GA case of LIC, if LIC thinks that yeah my papers were such that scoring 33% in it is sufficient to let me know that the candidate has an eye or has studied for this exam, they will keep the cutoff for GA as 10 marks. It will not matter even if 10000 candidate have full marks in GA, the cutoff would be still 10. The minimum scoring % can be anything. But certainly the minimum score will not be dictated by the competition.
Cutoff is like deciding 'MINIMUM COMPETENCY LEVEL SOUGHT'. It is just like our school/college days where our minimum passing percentage are decided before hand.
