Your profile is alright so dont worry on that. and yes even technical people need to manage the organizations so don't be apprehensive on that issue either. It's just that you will have to justify as to why you need a management degree and how well you defend your technical past with your managerial future.
Go ahead my friend and all the best.

Is my profile good enough for ISB or should i give my GMAT again??are people from Hightech have any advantage/disadvantage to get into ISB
First question is a very subjective one. No specific profile they need. They want people from diverse backgrounds with experience who have a vision and who can contribute to the overall development of the class.blah blah.
well you first give your GMAT. send that score to the ISB. two rounds of admissions are conducted. along with the score you write three essays the topics for which they provide beforehand. if you get selected they will call you up for the interview and if you survive there also, bingo!! you are in.what more?

You have a great profile Arun, have you taken GMAT? if not ATB π
I feel we should have a google-group or mailing list, even though PG is good but people rarely visit it after GMAT and after admission in to colleges they don't respond.
Work Ex: since June '10 (IT - product based company) (US based company but specifically No international experience)
Part time, I teach 9th and 10th class students.
EC: > Lots (and I mean lots) of certificates in sports/cultural field but all at school/college/university level. > Cultural Secretary of college > Few adventure sports certificates (mountaineering/rafting)
I needed suggestions regarding a) my profile - what and how to improve? b) From whom should I think of getting recommendations from? (since I am in a product based company, no specific interactions with clients.)
I am planning to appear for GMAT by June, this year. Of course I will try to get most out of it. (Any books/mock tests suggestions are welcome).
I'm new here.Been in and around CAT all till now, so this is a new ball game for me. I have a couple of basic questions and the ISB FAQs do not address them.So please help me with the following:
I completed my B.E in Information Tech in May 2011 and started working with Cisco in July 2011.
1. So M I eligible for the intake in 2013. I will have about 22 months of work ex till then.Or is the work ex counted at the time of application. 2. If I'm eligible for the 2014 intake, when should I write GMAT and when does the application procedure start.

Your first question is very subjective as no one can tell for sure how good/bad is your profile is right now Second: You can get reco from your supervisors in your company there is no need for a reco from client. Books there are many : manhattan, OG, Kaplan etc I feel you should start with OG
