Nice to see the ISB2014 thread so active, keep rocking folks! I wanted to share my interview experience at the 2013 thread but since I was pretty much the last person to be interviewed for 2013 I hope this thread will find it more useful. My profile:

Work ex 12 years in IT, lead a small team of 3 people ( I think this was what sealed my fate ).
Interview panel: An alum and a faculty
I was asked about my job shifts in the initial part of my career. I said that i was immature but it gave me experience in various kind of organizations right from a startup to one of the biggest IT organizations. Then the conversation drifted to how different sized organizations work.
Then they asked me to explain a situation where I went out of the way and did something : gave an example
Finally they asked why MBA after so many years and I said it would help me jump to a role that I would have got after 5 years. So the faculty asked how will that help? I said funnily that I can retire early, this probably did not go down well with the faculty, asked me seriously why do I want to retire early.
Asked if I have any questions, I asked one and then left.
The only issue was the faculty was ready to drop off to sleep all the time because my time was 2:00 pm. Anyways I am now off to IIM Lucknow's IMPX, doesn't make sense to wait for another year for ISB doing my current job. Feel free to ask any queries you have.
GMP is good if you are continuing in your current profile. Placements decent. Same curriculum as the 2 year PGP. And the brand XLRI.
This year, they did not have essays. Shortlist on GMAT/acads and interview. So, planning to apply next year.
Personally, XLRI is in my home town and have seen the campus n crowd.. its worth it.

But i talked to a couple of XL GMP guys...they told that change of profile is also possible...
I was keen on consulting..he told that it is possible but one has to wait..placement is not like BM.
Also big names dont turn up regularly as well for GMP..

Yeah dude..placements is not like BM.. So GMP is a backup, the worst case.
The important thing here is the brand I believe you get from XLRI.. Once we can get a platform (semi solid will also do) from the placement,you can build on from there.

I had also taken help of consultants crackverbal and mbadecoder for essays and interview prep, i felt it was important that i take some professional help.

Main MF aur AS400 ki duniya mein ghusne hi vaala tha ki Aerospace ka bulava aa gaya aur thankfully mere ko design ka option mil gaya.
Varna main bhi CICS aur JCL mein khel raha hota 
dun get me started on mainframes and as400.... tragedy on my side.....
kaash yeh na hota aur aaj main kahan hota .... noton ki gaddiyon main jhula jhoolta, chandi ke chamche se ice cream kha raha hota,
hai ri zindagi... kabhi to aao without expectations....
