hi this is shravan pursuing B.E. elctronics branch, 3rd year from Bhopal. i am preparing for CAT 2012 right now. i want to accomplish a decent percentile score to eligible for admisssion in a good B-school( priority TOP 25 B-schools.) i want to pursue MBA as a PG course because i think that MBA course involves a much broader , intellectual and logical perspective rather than being a lot technical. i want to give my best shot at cat 2012 and right now am not thinking of cat 2013 wish i could learn and gain a lot from paagalguy.com adios!

My name is Suman and I'm from Hyderabad. I don't like working in IT-FIRM :). As like every one, I too have many dreams, of which doing MBA is one of them. As I decided MBA as my last phase of education in my life I decided to do it big-very big. So, I thought to work for a couple of years and then proceed with my dream for a good scope of higher education in a very reputed college/university/school. As I said that I don't want to work in IT-sector in my life, I decided to work in any other field which is merely difficult for an B-Tech fresher and with the percentage I have. So, here is a situation I faced and I planned my future in a complete different path. I thought to get into only SBI/SBH/PNB/BOB banks as a PO officer, work for 2-4 years in India and foreign and then get into FOREX and then do MBA in Finance. Thus, my life is set perfectly. But life is not/future is not that simple to express on a peace of paper.
I did my B-Tech in ECE from VIT-2010 pass-out with 70.5% and 79.8% in my +1+2 and 83.33% in my 10th.
After B-Tech I joined in Value Labs(IT FIRM) as a tester and I quit as I did not like the company and firm. Later on in Nov 2011 I started up my own business which is into OVERSEAS EDUCATION and VISA PROCESSING.
I also applied for PO post's in SBI and its ASSOCIATE banks and also in IBPS in 2011 and I got through all the three exams. But, I couldn't get through the interview in SBI and SBH and was short of 3marks in GD/PI.
It's already been 2years and I am doing nothing that I could tell every. Then I thought not to give up my dream doing MBA in reputed college. One day I got a call from my friend with a very good news, that he got 99.4% in CAT 2011. Thus I thought of doing CAT, which I saw as a key to my dreams. My only inspiration in CAT are my two friends Dileep - 99.4% - IIMC - 2012 and Pritham - 99.6% - MDI -Delhi - 2012.
As of now I am attending classes in TIME and BYJU's and taking CAT this year.
first of all i will thank PG for giving us such a great platform.
I am deepak .i have completed my engineering in Computer science and engg. in 2010.from then i am working with infosys and its already more than 1 and 1/2 year.
Now i want to move on and do something which i want to do and not that which i do not want to do but have to do because of no other options. Although i don't have an awesome profile.it goes like this:- Xth --78.4 (CBSE) XIIth --- 75.0 (CBSE) Grad(B.E.) --- 76.3
Now want suggestion from the puys that what are my prospects if i want to go for MBA.will i be able to get a good college and if yes,then can you please tell what all colleges(in top 20-30) are there for which i am eligible and have a chance to secure an admission??
As far as stream is concerned,till now i am more interested in Finance and operations becuase i don't have much idea about the others;).
So,puys go ahead and pour your suggestion and advices for me.
My name is Anudeep. I have completed my Mechanical engineering from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (NITK). Currently I work in the profile of an Area Manager for East India. I work for ExxonMobil and handle the automotive lubricants aspect.
I plan to work for another 2-2.5 years and ideally I would like to land an MBA admit by the end of 2014. I have been reading up on a lot of posts for the past 3-4 months and it is really productive. Makes you think/ introspect in ways which you normally wouldn't have. Looking forward to some good advice in the next 2 years.
