Education and Work Ex Background: I completed Dual Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur in 2009.
Current Occupation: Am working as a Researcher in Tata Steel 2009.
Why on PG?: Now that I have spent enough time in the current job to realise Research is not my cup of tea, I intend to move to a general management profile. One of the best ways to do so, I think, may be going for an MBA.
Specifically looking for what on PG?: 1) My options for MBA, 2) GMAT preparation tips, 3) How bright (or otherwise) are the chances of a Researcher of getting into a good MBA college?
Aim for next one year?: Crack GMAT, get admission into a top college... other than this things are still a little blurred!

I have my fair share of CAT, CET experiences from a couple of years back but didnt really get through... So now i am gonna prep up for SPJain's GMBA program for the Nov12 intake... hope all goes well with the help of the folks here... cheers

Why on PG? After wasting 3 years in AME and then just managing the required % for giving CAT and rest exams(in b com) I do not want to waste more time sitting at home or going to a bpo.
Ii has been high time and i am 24 with NO CAREER
So MBA would help my life to be back on Track
Specifically looking for what on PG? HELP ME in everything related to MBA colleges and getting USEFUL TIPS:biggrin: to crack these weird exams

Colleges are changing criteria almost every year so it is premature to say whether 94 or any other %ile will secure call in a top b-school...still going by the present trend, your score in BE specially and hsc to some extent can play the spoiler's role...ATB
