This is Ram and I am looking to do my MBA this year/next year. I work in the Financial Services Industry and have about 5.5yrs work ex in my kitty. I am PG Diploma in Securities Law & Bcom. Currently pursuing my CFA and CFP.
I got shortlisted for the ISB class of 2013 Interview, but still to get a call...Like many others who r sailin d same boat...My hope is dwindling as 15th Feb is nearin!
So m gna be here in either case: Shud i not make it to ISB, im gonna shower a hell lot of questions about d back up plans...Lukn forward to chattn with ya fellas...

First of all I must say it is very humble of you to come to a forum and ask such a question publicly.
Anyways before I come to my answer I would like to make a statement here that it is people like you who should ideally be looking to do an MBA rather than freshers and the 1 yr ppl coz you are the people it was ideally meant for. While I do agree to the fact that systems evolve but I still feel that MBA is still for the experienced. You cannot manage a business unless you have been a part of it.
Now coming back to your question, I would advise that unlike most who invest money you invest your experience in the MBA and reap benefits. i would also suggest you go for ISB rather then IIMs (even if you are talking about the executive programs) from the ROI perspective as I expect you to understand the meaning of ROI more than anybody else. It makes all the more sense for people like you but it is the institute that would matter more. Go ahead and prepare well for GMAT.
