Myself Sandip jain
I am a software engineer by profession
Currently,working as a basis consultant for a product by SAP"Business by design"
My intention is to get information on preparation of my GMAT and CAT exam which I am planning to give this year.
GMAT -by july,and CAT-as usual in november
So i request all to suggest some good books and institutes in bangalore for the same ,and suggestions as well

so..umm...i m pranita...b-tech ECE...final year...and here at PG...to get to the B-school stuff and etc...just like everybody...and ummm...yup next year goal...in an awesome b-school...yeah its sounding good....

though Im also new to pg.... But from my personal experiance TIME's coaching class is good as far as bangalore is concerned ( especially indranagar, jayanagar, kormangala branches). And also its material is good enough.

Education and Work Ex Background: Xth 66% XIIth 75% Btech in EEE 75%

while in my Btech final year gave CAT 2010 (without any prep.:cheers:) was able to score 80.95 percentile.
have now finally joined TIME and gearing up for some serious preparation keeping CAT 2012 as my target.

Current Occupation: currently working (if there is anything to work for on BENCH:)) with a French IT MNC (for past 5 months:nono:).

Why on PG?: to get guidance from MBA guru's present here.

Specifically looking for what on PG?: anything and everything about cracking CAT 2012 and the admission process of the Ivy League colleges (in India:lookround::-o)

Aim for next one year?: to give my best shot at CAT 2012 and other B-school exams in 2012.




:banghead: As for now I have a question hovering over my head......... My academic background is not that good 😞 (as it can be clearly seen above).......... So I want to know how bad can this affect me from getting into a good B-School.



I am aiming for top 15 Bschools in India.... So I want to know is it possible with an educational background like mine...
Help help help needed!!!!!

A cat %ile of 99.xx will give you call from all IIM's if you have decent acads or profile. Both IIM B and IIM C are very good institutes. Sometimes IIM B is considered over C.

it means every1 iz fond of IIM-A (me 2 love IIM-A) i am in bba 1st yr and join mba guru for the coaching of cat exam i really wanna get into IIM-A Therefore start my prepartions from the earliest but i am unable to give full concentration to it..:-(:-( i hate maths , reading newspaper and my vocab i also weak what to do i am very tense..:banghead: do suggest good ways to concentrate also do tell me that around how much i have to score in cat to get into IIM-A,IIM-C and IIM-B...and which IIM is better After IIM-A is that IIM-C or IIM-B..??? do reply me.

Relax! Start with basics.
1.Read anything you feel like.Just read, to start with.Eg: Read articles of your interest.
2.for Quant start with basics(Refer your material).Gradually, you will develop interest for sure.See if group study helps
3.Be passionate for MBA.Dont loose heart.There will be a lot of roadblocks!Staying confident is the Key!
