XLRI- XAT exam
SCMHRD- SNAP exam
MDI- CAT exam
Cut off varies every year so it will be tough to decide anything now.:thumbsup:

So here we go with my introduction..
Before I start boasting of myself, I would like to make a quick confession - I have been using this forum for last one and a half year. I think PG is a unique place to be for an MBA aspirant. But I have never commented or posted here for my own selfishness reasons, laziness being one of the prime ones. 
So, I am called Navneet Sharma. Some people (patients) call me Dr Navneet Sharma. Did my graduation (MBBS) from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi (graduating class of 2010). While most of my peers have opted for specialization in India or the US, I am sitting here thinking about ways in which I can have a more meaningful existence than just trying to make some money from distressed souls. Just kidding..that's not entirely true..doctors rarely do fare better and occasionally think of humanity too 
So nevermind..I was trying to figure out my options when I came to know of CAT and IIM from my ex IIT-ian friends. Seriously, I wasn't even aware that something called IIM existed 2 years before. I checked out their profiles. The kind of impact they have on society and in particular, initiatives being taken in the field of healthcare (IIM - A and ISB Hyderabad).
So, this along with many other reasons prompted me to start working to get into a good B school to achieve my career objectives.
I started prep for CAT seriously in September 2010. Gave CAT 2010 on 18th Nov 2010. Then completed my internship. The score turned out to be 97.3 (much to my dismay). Got calls from IIM K and IIM I. Converted IIM I . But then decided not to join as another attempt did not seem like a bad idea.
So came March 2011 and I joined Lok Nayak Hospital as a House Surgeon in Orthopedics. Worked for 3 odd months. It was an enlightening time. By the time I had completed my stint there, I was sure I didnt want to continue with med, at least the way it is done in India.
Jobless and pennyless, I started studying for CAT again from June 2011. It was too far away to start mugging religiously, so I ventured into a start-up that aims to provide intuitive healthcare solutions (IT) across the medical value chain. It was high octane action and we are in the process of launching innovate IT solutions for healthcare- both patients and doctors I mean. 
So, here I am writing my intro and preparing for CAT (religiously, now that it's just round the corner). Hoping to make it big. I hope all of us here who are worth their mettle, do make it big - both in CAT and in life.
TO Summarize :
Education and Work Ex Background: - MBBS (MAMC, New Delhi), 3 months as House Surgeon, Orthopedics, Lok Nayak Hospital. 1 year as an intern in LNH, GB Pant Hospital, GNEC and many primary health centers.
Current Occupation - working with a healthcare start-up ( m not considering it as workex even for CAT 2011 as it is not paid and not full time ). But rest assured, it's better than selling Ponds cream or churning those numbers.
Why on PG - hmm...primary purpose - CAT prep. Additionally, meeting some sharp minds hell bent to change this world for good.
Specifically looking for on PG - CAT prep discussions and B School discussions.
AIm for next one year - CAT 2011...getting enough score to see me through to the institute of my choice. Once done, taking my start-up to the next level - breakeven :)

Why on PG?: For any MBA aspirant PG hold the same place as Wisden hold for cricket fans. Any info u need is right here and then getting to know ppl's view adds to our outlook and helps see the same problem from two angles.
Specifically looking for what on PG?: Forums, discussions, News, Articles, Tips(some good ones by Mr Handa;)) and life at B school when bored
