Guess, I am pretty late in joining the forum.. I am Sumit Soni, working with an IT firm for past 3 years, preparing for CAT 2011. Last time, when I took CAT, it was 2007, so this attempt is kind of first attempt for me..
Yesterday itself, I joined this forum, and before putting my introduction here, I was just going through several discussion posts on this portal, and feel happy to say that I have got GOOD chance to interact with some aspirants for CAT 2011..
By profession, i am a Software Engineer, completed my B.Tech in Computer Science in 2008.. Looking forward for some good discussions over CAT.. Thanks!!!

I don't say that work ex doesn't count.. Yes it counts, but once u get a work ex, it becomes ur need to crack CAT in a way that u get an A grade college, else u would land up nowhere.. Coz having a good salary, once u start earning, u would not luv to get into such college, from where, u would get a placement, in which an organization offers u either the same salary package or less.. And, in case, u manage to get a good college, and been offered a good package, then it's pretty good for ur growth.. It's not the case that freshers are not being entertained, instead they are.. My suggestion to you is that, if u get a good college this time, just don't wait for work ex, rather go for it, coz who knows, once u get into the job, u would get time for ur studies or not (the situation I am going thru, I have to take out time to study).. Going for an M.B.A. At an early stage or later is wholesome decision of urs. But what i would suggest is that if u get a Decent enough B- School this time. Them do not hesitate to go for it this time itself. And if u are not able to get through a good b- school then you should go for a job first and then do your post graduation. All the best for your career.

Hello everyone.. This is Atul Kumar Singh, just completed my B.F.Tech in Apparel Production, from National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi. Was placed with S.Kumar's Nationwide Ltd through campus placements, joined the company, worked for approx a month, didn't like the job, had no job satisfaction, so resigned. :P
Now preparing for CAT, and not taking up any otehr job for now.. I would like to do MBA in Marketing, so let's see what happens this time.. Wish me Luck.. Hehehe.. 😁

I am Varun, I have completed my diploma in electronics and communication and have been working for the last 6 years in IT. Tried doing my B-tech (part time) with out any success. After a few gyans from my folks and friends I have decided to do fast track MBA..
Considering that I do not have a bachelors degree, Am not sure if I can do full time MBA from a reputed B-school. I do have options for part time MBA but am not so keen on it. Can I join a full time MBA with my work experience? Am looking for b schools in India as well as abroad, If so what are my options, kindly advice.
