I am Uma, with 2.5 years of work-ex in the IT industry and passed out in Mechanical Engg 2004. I live in hyd. I am looking to do my MBA abroad...preferably in UK. Just madeup my mind to take-up GMAT sometime in the year end!! Looking for admissions early next year(2010).
Could anyone plz help me with a good institute to join for a brush-up of my basics.....its been long i touched a book...i swear!!!
I will need some info...as to:
What is the ideal time frame in which an average stuyin person with reasonable acads can take to prepare for GMAT??
What are all the books i need to refer to.. to start my prep??
Can a person take-up GMAT anytime in the year?
If anyone could lemme know this bit of information would be of gr8 help

GMAT can be taken anytime throughout the year... as per your convenience and level of preparation..!!
As far as any institute for prep... most of the guys prefer self study.. and it's quite sufficient.. still a guidance might be useful in your case.. since you are planning to join early 2010.. and yet to go for GMAT.. there are few institutes.. in most of the big cities.. hyderabad.. take a look into this thread..:

A proper and concentrated effort for 4-6 months on an avg is good enough to go ahead with GMAT final.....!!
Books mostly refered...
princeton review.. official guide... etc... better go through forums... and threads on PG.. abundant of material and experienced guys always there to help you out..!!
