Hi Puys,

I am Sunit Ghosh, an Engineer in Electronics and Communication and with 3 years of work experience with Verizon, Hyderabad. 26th August 2010 was my last working day as I have plunged into the war-field of MBA 2010.

I would like to see myself in the canteen of IIMA next year having a graceful Samosa and a cup of Coffee with my batch-mates.:-P

Why on PG? : make frndzz, interact with people ,gyan for CAT XAT n GMAt

WHy CAT? ... m sick of doing nothing for all of my life... n now i rly want to get rd of the looser tag..... n i see the passion in MBA,, i want to kick ass of all failures by getting into IIM........

a brief intro about myself.i have joined National Institute of Technology(school of Management Studies,rkl) this july.I am an Electrical Engineer.I passed eng. this yr.The NIT@RKL is one of reputed institutes of india within rank 10.This is the 1st batch of mba Unlike the typical B schools it follows technical guidelines prescribed under the IIT'S/NIT'S.The syllabus has been prepared by experts from IIMA,XLRI,XIMB,IITKGP,IITMUM.So the course and curriculam is rigourous like the bschools.I cleared my G.D and P.I round to get in here.This institute only accepts B.Tech students.From next yr they would have separate test for entry.Our batch consists of many students having job exp. over 4 yrs.many of them have got high percentile in cat n xat.So don't worry if u don't get into a good b school.The iit's/nit's are very good option and the brand certainly matters.
Future Plans- well i am keeping options open like a combination of Finance and marketing or Marketing n HR. (major n minor)
Regarding placements NIT@RKL fetches an avg of 6 to 7 lakhs pr yr with the highest going upto 10 lakh.so this is not a matter of concern.The infrastructure is good,faculty highly educated and life's good.

Profile:

GMAT 690

Work Ex JP Morgan and RBS, I banking KPO analyst - 2 years

Strong acds throughout and BE (Production Engg)

Which schools would prefer such a profie, more looking out for Asian programmes, but fine with US skools also.

Please advice!

Buddy for 1 year MBA make sure that your work experience is atleast 5 years by the time you apply because some B-Schools ask for minimum of 2 years work experience to be eligible to apply..But in reality they end up with admitting students having 5+ years of work experience...........
You can look upto ISB,IIM-ABCLI,XLRI,SP Jain...........These are the best options available in India

hi anamika...even me studying for the same exams.... i think u need more books..try to get TIME study material....they are good and solve as many old question papers as possible...thats wat we were being told in our TIME coaching class...i think it will b enough
