calling all seniors!!!I seem to have got something wrong---I was told that the rems would start on 16 and I would be rquired to report on 15.It seems that the earlier date of 12 still remains or has it been revised?? please respond as soon as possible.
Just proceed according to what is mentioned in the letter u have got from IIML admin.In case u have any doubts, just ring up PGP office and get them cleared....
regarding medical certi, i, myself, took it from Civil Surgeon of my district hospital....i dont know what r the equivalents of Civil Surgeon in prvt hospi(if any).....drop a mail on the grp, may be some other pgp2 will help u better....
hey catfan, i think u must have recd the list of docs needed and it is clearly mentioned there as to wat is to be required...as far as i remember , u have to get a typhoid shot(can also be had in IIML for 200 bucks), X ray etc....dont remember all the details...
i thot engineeers are not invited, but will be allowed to attend the remedials...but they said no.. the admissions did.. does this mean no? i can't wait to come to L...please tell me...
Guys Indore is coming out with another waitlist either today or monday as per the admissions office. This is another request to those of you who had paid up at I but are not joining now to please call up Indore office and let them know..wud help the waitlist clear a lil deeper.
guys Indore admissions is now calling up ppl to confirm from those who have paid the fee already whether they would be joining or not. IF there is anyone out there reading this who has paid and not joining .......pleaase call Indore and let them know. i know this is the Nth time i am writing this on pg but even two phone calls can make or break things right now for me.

IIML is a quite abuzz with loads of activities. People interested in knowing stuff can drop in their queries but definitely not in this thread. Guess we have to start a thread on "Life @ IIML" in the B-School Discussions forum. And I'm sure Giri will be more than happy to do that!
Is there a Life@ IIM L thread on PG ? mebbe there is but then I am feeling too lazy to run my fingers over my sleek mouse and use the Pagal search engine.So I'll better post a few things here itself. 6 Weeks down, one midterm gone and most of PGite at L r still single.
SO far life at L has been nothing short of extraordinary.The work routine, the play not-so-routine, the parties, the guys, the profs and the classes (and with a grudging nod, the gals) have all been so different from the UG days.Somethings which came like a surprise to a pseudo engineer like me are :
--> the quality of guys/gals here.I have never in my life met such amazing ppl tht I have met in last 6 weeks at L.Ppl who know why they are here(unlike urs truly), ppl who know the First to last CEO of "The Firm", ppl who swear by Kotler, ppl who swear at ppl who swear by Kotler....the list is truly endless.I think this is one thing which makes IIM stand out...the Intellectual Capital.
-->The amount of hardwork the profs put in for the classes.Whenever I have visited some faculty in his/her room(Although those incidents have been few and far between) almost always they are going thru some book or working online, preparing for next day's lecture.The kind of enthusiasm they show in the lectures is really good but then it deprives u of sleep that u planned to catch during the lectures.....ahhh....U cant have best of both of the worlds.
-->Contrary to what experts on sleep say the minimum amount of sleep required for a person to survive is 0 hrs a day.During the mids I dunno many ppl who slept for more than 3-4 hrs a day(or night ) and all of us survived and are fit as a fiddle.Time management(how cliched it sounds) is another thing tht I have learnt at L or shall I say I was forced to learn at L coz here either u shape up or shift out.
-->When it comes to driving away sleep, opening ur 3/4th close eyes and read a boring topic like ***(censored) then nothing beats a hot coffee at nescafe at 2'O clock.OK also add to that a polo snatched form ur friend to it..
-->U need lotsa focus wen u r at IIM L.at ne point of time thr r a hazaar activities going on and u'll feel like becoming part of all of em.But then of course u cant.So prioritising ur activities is the name of the game here.This is something i still need to learn
--> another thng which IIM L has given me is confidence, confidence that I can make ne powerpoint presentation at 1 hr notice, confidence that I can talk about ne subject as obscure as mummification of King Tut if I have the powerpoint slides to look at and confidence that "nikalenge maidaan mein jis din hum zhoom ke dharti dolegi yeh kadam choom ke"
