What's cut off for ST candidates ?
My IIFT score 64 . WAT gd was Ok . Replied one question in Interview terribly bad and could not answer rank of HDI of India. What is the chance for converting IIFT Delhi?
my iift score is 55.51 . my wat and gd was average. 2-3 unsatisfied( they reacted like tell us in detail...something more ) ans in interview ,although ansd all questions. so interview was below avg. do i still have chances?

Placed several points and gave directions to the group towards area specific solutions.

Me - Answered.
Panel - Questioned about the start up scenario in India and asked to explain the model of an Indian start up which might fail in the near or distant future and why so.
Me - Spoke about Oyo and its business model. Compared it to Zostel and explained in detail why Oyo could fail. (Didn't choose Flipkart or Ola as they were too cliched).
Panel - School acads good, what happened in college?
Me - Life happened. (Explained the lack of interest in the stream and focussed on extra curriculars a lot).
Panel - What 3 changes would you make in the Union Budget?
Me - Answered satisfactorily.
Panel - Why IB in IIFT?
Me - Answered based on personal preferences.
Panel - If you go from Howrah to Chennai, which rivers would you have to cross?
Me - Mentioned about the rivers in the South and specified the existing routes and possible rivers that could be encountered for the routes.
Panel - Inclusion of the Railway Budget in the Union Budget and not as a separate budget - what are your views?
Me - Explained in terms of revenue, allocation and the redundancy of a separate Rail Budget.
Panel - Who's the Rail Minister and Financial Minister of India?
Me - Answered.
Panel - Name 3 industries in India which are blooming in today's time.
Me - Spoke about Manufacturing, Healthcare and Phrmacy and Data Analytics industries in India, also mentioned about the Service Sector.

Can someone throw light upon the minimum score required to convert IIFT Delhi. With decent GD/PI and WAT performance. I got 97.47% percentile.
Also any idea regarding the weightage given to different areas?
IIFT percentile --97.45 score 50.78.decent Essay/ GD and PI... I belong to OBC. XTH, XIITH--above 90% graduation--82.5%. What are my chances of conversion in IIFT Delhi??

PI the panel was concentrating on Why MBA and Why IIFT for which I gave a convinving reply. Also current affairs questions, I answered all. What are my chances to convert the call

Blog. I'm also most viewed writer of my college.

Me: yes but since I write about my college. Most of the followers are from college only.

Me: told there's no specific reason. Sometimes i take inspiration from nature sometimes from other poems. Wrote a poem inspired from Invictus.

Me: I have limited knowledge about poems. I haven't been exposed to all kimds of poems. So can't say.

Me: I think it's good. He has written about social problems in his lyrics. Which is good and also the times are changing. Poems are becoming a limited area of development. The noble committe has progressed to the arts of 21st century in awarding bob dylan the nobel.prize. I think he deserves it.

Me: The fact that rap is influencing large portions of people, Both in the west and in india should be considered. I think we should accept that rap is also a form of art.

Me: yes. Hudhud is the name of the bird, proposed by israel. It was Horrific. Trees were ambushed. Vizag's halmark is greenery which is lost. But CM Chandrababu efforts are appreciable.

Me: I don't think.so. He also has his negative aspects.

Me: Kakinada is one of the largest ports of AP. Has potential. But to join I should consider other factors like alumni etc.

Starting question about academics, from the subjects that i had mentioned, answered all of them including"how will you explain OS to a taxi driver"Then it went bad with repeated questions about trump''s policies and how it would affect india.I may have contadicted myself with saying that trump's H1b ban can help india with stopping brain drain and then telling i wanted to join IIFT because in globalization,International management degree can be advantageous.Don't know how good the PI was. Didn't get any chance to steer the interview towards hobbies or anything.

iift percentile 99.58, gd-excellent wat-good work ex -23 months in income tax dept ,sbi and state govt pi- they focussed about my job changes and why mba and whether i will continue to prepare for civil services after joining mba. I had my IIFT GD-PI-WAT on the 15th. My WAT topic was ''An Illiterate person in the 21st century is not someone who can't read or write but someone who is unable to learn,unlearn and relearn''And my GD topic was ''Google knows more about you than even your mother''-as in because google keeps tracking our online activity and stuff. It was a pretty short GD-around 30 minutes of which 15 minutes were spent in the introductory monologue by the 12 participantsALso,my PI revolved around international politics because in my introduction,i said that i am deeply interested in it..So,they asked me about Trump,his impact on geopolitics,China-Taiwan dispute,Israel-palestine issue. They asked me if Yuan can replace Dollar-why /why not?I was then asked to summarise this year's budget.I think it was a pretty decent interview. My GK is pretty good-especially geopolitics,although i faltered in one point while talking about the tax slabs in the budget.Otherwise,i guess-you should try shaping your interview in the direcion you wish to.Some other people today mentioned they had good acads so that they were asked about college studies,some were asked about the specialisation in MBA-the panel was prety relaxed and friendly.My PI was excellent,GD was above average and WAT was just mediocre. I hope i make it to IIFT. All the best to everyone! ;)

Is this correct?
Last year the RTI revealed the lowest marks for IIFT-D was 61.31 and for IIFT-K was 59.60.
It shows a difference of 1.71 marks between the last selected candidates for the two colleges.
The waitlist moved for around 300 for IIFT-K and initially around 250 candidates were called for IIFTK out of which lets say 100 converted Delhi That sums up to a total of 550-100 = 450 candidates.
Now 450 candidates within a bracket of 1.71 marks. Which could mean most people are given more or less the same number of marks in the GDPI-WAT process. What's your take.
PS: I have got 99.56 percentile with kind of moderate GDPI-WAT. Just speculating the chances.
IIFT 99.29%ile WAT was the Alvin Toffler's quote. Made some valid points there. GD was decent. Raised some important issues. Overall average GD. PI was mainly on my interest in finance. Asked questions like types of shares, bonds vs shares, sensex calculation, how repo affects budget and how it affects public spending. Role of investment banks. Couldn't answer the fed rate and the ECB rate and a couple of general awareness questions on finance. What are my chances?
