Guys who took the exam

please brief us the pattern of the Exam and also requirement to be carried for the Exam.


Reqd: Just the call letter and a photo ID proof (Though the ID was not checked at our center at Chennai)

Exam: 5 sections. They are individually timed. You cant go back to a section after its over.

Reading comprehension: 9 min, 5 Qs (Actually 10, Each ques has two parts)
A small passage of about 5-8 lines with 2 ques on each

Sentence Correction: 6-8 min, 16-18 Qs (Dont remember exactly)
All ques are like fill in the blanks type.

Arithmetic: 18 min, 20 Qs
Direct ques involving small computation.

Reasoning: 6-8 min, 14-16 Qs (Dont remember exactly)
Few figures involving which will be the next.

Analogies: 6-8 min, 14-16 Qs (Dont remember exactly)
Ques like If A:B::C:__
A and B have some relations. Choose the word from the options which is related to C in the similar fashion.


Level of exam: Pretty easy. You can solve most of them, almost all of them.
Sectional cutoff is there. Nothing is mentioned about negative marking, so cant say about it.

I too agree with u, but could not think how much would be the cut offs, as it would be easy for most of us working guys.....

Hi Puys,

Exam was easy but couldn't attempt around 5 questions because of slow speed and got stuck at one arithmetic question which I felt was wrong. If you remember this question, lets discuss.
Total CP of 1 dozen apples: 144 INR
Sold quarter of dozen as 15 Rs per apple
Sold rest at Rs 20 per apple.

Calculate profit.
Options were some 200, 300, 400 Rs (don't remember exactly). Question was damn easy but I don't know, why my answer didn't match to anyone in the exam.

Even I found 2-3 questions wrong in my set, hence not able to solve all questions.

Well what you all think will be cut off for the test.
I think 50-60% in each section ...

Any views ???

The paper was much on an easier side...with 5 sections:
1)verbal comprehension
2)fill in blank(verbal)
3)quant
4)visual reasoning
5)analogy

But I didnt do well in Visual Reasoning well.I might miss out on the cut-off in Visual resoning.the rest of the sections were sitters.Fingers crossed.

I spoke to ICICI HR , he told me that exam at Jasola Centre was not taken yesterday & all candidates earlier going to take exam on 30th July will give exam on 31st on same centre at 3.45 P.M.

ANY ONE PLS CONFIRM IT.

That's not true, I suppose as I have given my exam yesterday and most of the batches were there to attend it. There might be some students who would not be able to attend , might be asked to appear today

Could anyone confirm if exam across India has been planned only on 30th and 31st July and how many candidates could have appeared for it?

In Bangalore, on 30th July, around 25 candidates took the exam!

Attended exam at Jasola centre,Newdelhi yesterday..The exam conducted in a messy environment yesterday as there is some sever problem as told by the Computer lab operator there.No one from ICICI has attended there as an invigilate the exam...
Exam was on a pretty easier side....I found no information about Negative Marking anywhere.So attempted all the questions...!!!
Does anyone have any info. about the negative marking(probably the previous batches..!!).

Sectional cutoff is there. It was mentioned that you need to perform individually in all the sections.

Thats true.. and thats gonna keep my sleep away for next couple of days.. Performed exceptionally well in 4 sections.. but on the edge in one section.. any idea how the sectional cut offs were last time..

same here bro.....But it is true that there will be a sectional cut off. I have just spoken to my senior who is currently doing this program. He said that high cut off would be there for all the sections. ICICI is going to deduct almost 50% of the applicants through this process. I screwed big times in symbol diagram, not expecting to clear the cut off,but still keep faith in GOD. If it is not in ICICI,may be somewhere which is bigger than that. Don't be disheartened.
