Guys, thanks for your posts regarding your discussions with the HR rep.
However, those who have not got calls (including me), please be ready with questions as A.B. has also mentioned. Please include the below questions along with your own questions when you get a call. In order to be ready at all time, please note down these questions on a piece of paper coz mostly when you get a call, there would be a long discussion & then u may miss some of the questions....
1. What are the specializations available as of now? They may say "we cant say as of now & all that". So PLEASE ask them whether we would be given specializations of "Rural banking/Commercial banking/Retail banking" or not. Please ask this specifically and try to get an answer out of them somehow.
2. Break-up of the CTC - No one has asked till now.
For this also, they will deny to give any information. So, please ask generally what is the CTC break-up for Mgr grade-II level guys. Also try to know whether there would be any amount in CTC related to insurance premium (which is generally paid by the company), any amount related to monthly phone bills, relocation charges, petrol bills etc. This will give us some idea about the CTC.
3. Internship locations : Will we be given a choice regarding the internship locations? If no, then what would be the probable locations? If again they say "cant be informed now", just ask them, will the locations be in tier-I or tier-II cities or not.....coz we obviously would not want to go below tier-II cities....
4. Job location post-MBA : Their reply to this question would be surely "Cant be informed now". But still press them a little with due politeness and try to get some information regarding the locations. Here also, please ask whether the locations would be tier-II cities or above OR below tier-II cities.
5. Bond thing: Many of us have asked. But there is still some ambiguity as mentioned by A.B. in his above above post. Please clear the same.
I would request you guys to ask them whether wotever they are confirming on phone, can be given in writing.... so that we do not have any surprises later....

I'm from Chennai Rahul .. It does not contain the Terms and Conditions .. it just consists the Offer of Admission .. basically the first email that was sent to us ..

I received a call today evening from an ICICI Bank HR rep.
Seems like all our calls to the helpline numbers and numerous emails sent to them are showing the results 😃
The HR rep informed they are individually calling up every selected candidate to resolve all doubts and queries about the program. The discussion went very well and he told that this program is very close to ICICI Bank and they are very serious about.
I asked him the following questions:
1. Course structure and curriculum:
Course structure and subjects will be highly specific to the needs of ICICI Bank. The faculty will be a mix of both NIIT and ICICI Bank.
2. Does 4.5 lac include hostel fee:
Yes it does but not the food charges. 4.5 lacs will include tution fee, books, study material and hostel.
But not mess charges as they are paying a stipend of Rs 10k to cover those expenses.
3. Loan terms and interest rate of 24% if we leave after 3 years:
This will not be the case. He said once you have completed the bond period, the bank will not recover loan at 24% even if you leave the organization. It would be recovered at the rate at which you were already paying it.
I told him that the terms in the letter are very ambigous about this.
@itzabhi, I think we two have been told different things, when someone else gets a call from ICICI, please clarify more on this condition to confirm what are the loan terms.
4. Roles and Responsibilities of a Manager Band-II:
He said specific role will be decided post successful completion of the course and on specialisation. But he said a Manager Band-II is a senior member of the team and has great responsibility on his/her shoulders as is also evident from the salary being offered.
He also told that when they hire from B-schools they place them at Manager Band-I but the students from this program will be placed at a higher scale and role.
5. Notice Period issues and delay in joining:
He said joining date cannot be extended. And that they would expect some cooperation on this from our side!!!
He was very clear that they expect us to leave our current organizations in a respectable way with a proper relieving letter.
He also mentioned to take a print out of the Terms and Conditions email from ICICI Bank if we have not yet received the hard copy and use that email to submit our acceptance. He said as soon as we submit the acceptance our loan application procedure will start.
Now as all of you would also be receiving your calls either today or tomorrow , better prepare all your questions in advance.
@ AB .. guess yes .. probably somebody who gets call tomm can clarify it and in a much better way ...
Also can somebody confirm if the documents can be sent thro' Courier/Registered post ... a very basic question, but still

R they calling the candidates yet.... i hope everything is mismanaged with ICICI HR (they forcasted to start the batch in april but they have not yet finalised with all the seats).

I received the call almost 3 hrs back,
I have asked him lots of questions but now I forget what all questions I asked :drinking:
Most of the questions are similar to as that of AB.
The only thing I remember is that the answers were quite constructive/positive.
@Kapil : Your post is really de-motivating dear..... Here, every input is like an oasis in desert & if you just forget what inputs you got from them, then i will just pull my hairs. I would request you to let us know wotever u remember buddy...

The mail that I received containing the offer does not contain the attachment...... can any one of you forward the attachment to my id ([email protected] / [email protected])...... spoke to them many times in the course of the day but in spite of promising to send the mail everytime I called them, they never actually did..... so I am assuming that we'll have to deal with this kind of careless attitude for the next 2 years...... I have put down my papers at office but have got no means by which I can send the acceptance of their terms & conditions back to them...... waddapt!!!!

My case is also the same Upasana... No calls, no courier....I am not worried about the couriers as even if it does not come, we have the mails atleast.. I am more worried about the call from HR rep to clear doubts.....

Actually just after call, I attended a client meeting so everything went of my mind.
Below are whatever I remember
- They choose NIIT because it's one of the growing university who can put their efforts in best possible way
- Course is a mix of NIIT & ICICI and there will be guest faculty from ICICI
- B-School Grads get Manager Grade - I, but they are offering us MG-II. He said this is the best profile ICICI can ever offer to a MBA
- There will be no 'higher' interest rate on loan amount after completing 3 years and loan can be paid with same old rate of interest
- He said don't wait for the hard copy as it might struck with courier company and we should proceed by taking the printouts.
- He said they are getting positive response from almost all candidates and they expect the batch strength above 75. Further said that they are not concerned with batch strength as it's a first batch.

Dont worry too much about couriers, you can take a print out of the Terms and Conditions mail and sign it.
@somu_m1981, there is no such attachment in the email. Regarding Offer of Acceptance letter, refer to the mail that came from NIIT University and just scroll down the pages, you will see an enclosure which has the format for offer acceptance..just copy paste it in a word document, fill it and print it out.

M - Sir, Why the CTC mentioned is about 15 LPA , why not 15 LPA or above.
ICICI Guy - Don't take these words so seriously, You will get 15 LPA and laughs.
M - Sir, You have mentioned that a guarantor is required. Why it is required and who can act as guarantor.
IC - It is required so that in case the loan amount is not paid by you, that person will take the responsibility, that you will pay back the loan amount.
Your mom-dad , in relations can take this responsibility.
M - Sir, why relieving letter is required. Can't we get through by just showing our resignation letter. As I think ICICI just wants to confirm that we are not working with the present organization, as for that full-n-final statement copy resignation copy, salary slips, appointment letter should work.
IC- Ya, that's true, but you should try to get the relieving letter and if any case you didn't receive it, we have last option as Resignation Letter and that experience letter will also helpful in getting further good opportunities.
M - What about the location after MBA. Can we be placed in the rural area or can v be sent to abroad.
IC - At this level of experience we can't sent you abroad but after three years, we will provide you the opportunity. ICICI will not place in your rural areas, we care for you.

IC - Immediately mail to the mail id from which you have received your ICICI terms and conditions and to NIIT but don't change your e-mail address.

- ICICI gives a performance rating to each individual from 1 to 5 where 1 is highest and 5 is the lowest
- The CTC does not include other perks such as mobile phone, sim, hospitalisation claims etc (This is good news)
Regarding the joining details such as documents to bring, when to join the College campus, ICICI wll send a mail with al these details next week to candidates who have accepted. They are supposedly waiting for our confirmation letters to reach them

I have a couple of inputs from my call and mail comms with ICICI..
- Stipend is taxable (Ya, as expected. But 10k wont be taxable as it wont fall in that range. 50k, yes)
- Variable component is around 17 to 30 percent paid yearly (Good. Even if the variable is 30%, firm would be 10,50,000 INR. Out of that, generally, after taking out LTA, medical etc (which we get at the end of year), around 75-80% comes in hand. That means around 65k-70k pm, which is good to start with)
