bro- do u know for sure it wl b out today? or r u guessing based on our previous assumptions and those idiots in the HR depts "confirmations"?
buddy...its purely on HR's confirmations...no other source of information we have .....and yes since ICICI bank HR has no prior experience in conducting entrance exams and taking students....so such type of delays are very common...no surprises here...
Lets hope atleast they come up with the merit list .....rest it individual's final call based on the oppurtunities and threats....
Hoping that its result time and that some/most of us here on d forum gets selected, it will be a decison time for us as well. Few questions i had and wanted to leave it open to the forum so that anyone with knowledge can guide us all:
1) Anyone has a faint clue about NU University's education quality? Is it worth it or is it one of those mushroom MBA institutes? 2) Considering that the 1st batch will pass out this yr, the campus placement at NU must already be on/over...anyone know the stats for the same- this wl give us an indication of NU's acceptability in the industry. 3) I was going thru the NU website, i found that their hostel fees is 1lac/yr and that is only for the bed and a wifi is my guess... food and all other exp extra...any idea whethere we would need to cover these expenses ourselves or wl be provided by ICICI?
Lets start discussion around these grounds now instead of "when will the results be out types". That will give us all better perspectives on what we need to do should we get selected. My guess is that the time we will be given to make our minds will be minimal.....
I dont tink d univ is worth it...even after 3 yrs of experience lotta companies still recruit for ur colleges...i really do not no do u guys tink GS or JPMC will recruit jst on d basis of prior work exp even for their india operations.....ppl 4m gud colleges still have upper hand in IT orgs for lateral recruitmnt
In 4.5L loan ,everything will be covered including hostel fees but I am not sure about the fooding charges.Coz in my interview I asked the same question to the panel and dey replied dat in 4.5 L ur tuition fees, library fees ,hostel fees etc are included.Lets see wat happens.I have lost faith in their management.

Well I think that while changing the job...it does matter from where one has done his/her education but most its the prior experience which is being looked into...its a bit easier for the people from good b school...in job shifts..
But then again...as we have been discussing in previous posts too.... For those who gets selected , lets think the approach in its entirety...
Depending on individual's capailities and aspirations whether the NU-ICICIBank MBA is GO or NO-GO.... not everyone would be able to scoe well in GMAT...not everyone can afford to spend 25 lakhs in ISB.( and may be god knows after ISB too one ends up in ICICI Bank at Manager1/2 grade!!) or more depending on B-school.... not everyone can afford to take risk (for those who are already earning 12-13 LPA).....
so ultimately...it all depends to individual....the Risk, Reward equation...Fear and Greed Factor...
My two cents ....An individual should carefully analyse the pros/cons before making a final decisions...Atleast one should know every aspect so that later on there is no major shocks in terms of expectations mismatch..
Good luck to those lucky ones who gets into the Merit list..
But the biggest question still remains is - When will the merit list be out yaar??? Are they waiting for budget to be out before they declare results????? If budget is not good for banking sector, they may shelve this program 😉

Dost....Jin logon ko yeh takk nai pata how many people they want...is it 120 or 240 unko itni detail kahan pata hogi!!!
The management itslf is not clear what they want...how they want..and how it will be managed...
may be those who gets selected ...gets a chance to get the clarity ...may be the details are there in the offer letter...or may be some contact person is assigned who can further details...and clear the doubts...
Lets hope that the queries gets answered before one make a final decision...and atleast at this stage...there should be clarity....
Not everyone can take blind risk and take admissoin...the management should look forward to clear the doubts....so that they do-not miss on getting good quality of people just because there was lack of awareness.
My sense says...the dropout rate would be much higher....and a lot many candidates in waiting list will easily get chance.....to decide..abt admission.

hello friends, i had called the HR help desk on 22nd nd got reply that the selection will be only for 120 students and the marks of BMAT will not be considered and result will b out on 25th. Called again on 24th and i was informed that result will be declared for 240 students on 26 th by the end of the day and Score of BMAT will also be considered. Unlike other gud MBA colleges there will not be any batch composition depending on the years of previous work experience, kind of jobs handled and nature and area of responsibility, and previous academic records like number of students to take from commerce ,IT or from other background .Selection will be done on Final marks only irrespective of other things.
Different HR's are giving different information.Lets hope result comes out 2morrow by evening. Gud luck 2 all

AFAIK we can not really judge the quality of the education in NU as it came into existence just in 2009, and I do not think they might have one batch passing out this year. All they are advt.ing on their website is they got sponshorship from best corporate houses, not to mention individual mentors too.
I think ICICI Bank does not have the Infrastructure that is why it chose NU as a partner. Whether new or old univ, is much an immaterial fact as the faculty there. I think ICICI it-self will send its faculties. There must be brilliant guys in a bank of this size to teach, And moreover the internship thing is so much integrated as you might have noticed, that you will get more learning by working than studying. There is no other B-School in the country which sends out their Studs to Internship for whopping 4 terms.
That degree which is conferred by NU may not hold much value in outside market but who can say, If all goes well. Till now I have never heard anything bad about MBF given by IMA (ICICI Manipal Academy), and those Asst. Mgrs are doing good I guess.
For me it is the learning I am going to get from some of the Industry's best and I do not care about the degree. After some years they are just going to be a bunch of papers laminated to protect them from moisture and wear and tear, but no body really can take what I know unless I get alzheimer's.
You can call me too much optimistic, or you can see the logic here.:D So cheers and weigh our options, maybe we'll not get much time to ponder over once we get the list.

Yaar, Please you tell which one to consider. Half of the blokes here say the first sentence and the other half the second one. I guess we can put those speculations to rest and hope for the best . I wish I could meet you all guys there in Neemrana when course commences, we'll really have a blast. But if I won't make the cut, still you guys enjoy. $-!+ :splat:happens, but life goes on.

Hey Buddy, drop-out jyada ho toh achha hai, Kaun jaane hum first list mein ho ya WL mein...Magar socho agar jyada log ICICI ke hi honge toh? Band Baaja Baraat ho jayegi....
hope fully they declare result for 240 candidates and hope we all who are here get selected.....
If not then we can continue with our work , may be give CAT this year and give this ICICI exam again next time with more preparations .... and Hopefully those HR's learn from their mistakes and
