how about the case studies friends?how r u guys preparing for next round?as per recent posts...some puys have expressed that ratio for gd will be 1:20..its gonna be tough then ..i guess...only 1 or 2 from a group of 10 will be in for next round...lets start discussing abt how to go abt case analysis...experienced guys..plz share info...!!ny book r website esp to get the overall idea of typical finance and marketing case studies...??

Got a call for GD/PI on 3rd feb, Bomanahalli, Bangalore.
Can anyone please help me to rate this MBA. I already have 5.5 years of IT exp. Doesn't seems like good for me.

Please go through last year thread, last year candidates have done lot of discussion mulling over credibility & future prospect of this program. I am sure you will find both merit & demerit of this program. At the end of the day you have to decide what you want to do. Basically oneself ask him/her this question "Why I want to do MBA & would it be achieved through ICICI "BLP". If you have any other option in your hand you can decide which would be more beneficial for you from future point of view.
Here are few merit & demerits of this program,
Merits :
1. Low fees
2. Assured placements in a big bank at a CTC of 15 lacs pa (as per the website)
3. Good posts, as claimed on the website
4. You will be hired at post of Brand Manager 2 (although not sure whether everyone would be eligible for this, depends on your past experience & performance during MBA program, otherwise you could be given Brand 1 Manager post, which is what ICICI offers to graduate of IIM's )
Demerits:
1. No transperancy of pay structure post MBA
2. MBA degree from a very new university, have inadequate faculties & is unknown among employers
3. Once in, the only way out is to be there till the end of bond period (literally locked in)
4. No options as regards to employers for atleast 3 years post MBA
5. No certainty of getting a good job after serving bond period, due to a ICICI specific degree & that too from a very new university
6. Guys with non-financial backgrounds will be starting from scratch.

Might be!One of my frnd gave the exam yestday at chempak pet and he havent recieved any mail yet.I too had my exam yestday.But is it really possible dat they will resend the mails once again.I think we are too optimistic about this.Hope we get a cal atleast by today evening:(
