Bank PO job is the best job for mediocres. If you belong to rich family and have you own business. I would suggest to do your work. your own boss is better than worker of any sector either govt or pvt.
Last year I missed cut off by 2 marks let's hope this year it doesn't end up that way. In my interview they didn't focus on my education but rather just asked about the region I belonged to and basic details of that region, also wanted to know my hobby and a few current affairs questions. The woman before me said they asked her to recite a poem (as her hobby was writing poetry). So basically I would suggest not focussing too much on education, building up a personality can be impressive enough for a good score. Good luck to all. I guess there won't be much entertainment here because everyone will be studying.
Banking is a very hectic job. No personal life at all, and salary is also less when compared to other govt jobs. Officers are treated very badly most of the time by their seniors. Tranfer policy is another worst thing in banking sector. An officer who completes 3 years outside home state is eligible for home state transfer, but after 3 years he is also eligible for promotion. So if he takes promotion he'll be again transferred to another state. So better to focus on SSC & all rather than this boot licking job.

Bank po job is very hectic. When you join you are asked to sit in clerical then in cash. Mostly you will do data entry and passbook printing and statement printing. slowly slowly you will learn other things. PO will be assigned any job by BM like field visits and inspections or camp for sb account r to tell about government schemes. You have to manage the branch like atm working r not and cash available or not, any problem with UPS you have to follow up . It will be like you have to take care of branch like yours but you are always treated as servant. You have to listen to customers abuse and BM shouting and higher official attitude. PO job is very hectic because you are made to do work of two or three peoples. Clerks have fixed timing they can leave at 5:30. If they leave at 5:30 if der unfinished work is there, that work also has to be done by you only, as you have to perform end of day operation and have to close premises and go.
There are two banks near my house- SBI n Union Bank, I am observing both banks, SBI seems very busy, crowdy, people queue in long lines to get their work done. Whenever i go to take cash from sbi atm, i see BM an others busy, even at 8pm , but in union bank, people come an go, i see any line rarely there, it all depends on bank, branch how much load you will have to bear. But one thing is sure, SBI is hell in populatrd areas because almost everyone has a account in this bank, so jsut chill, U r not gonna bear that pressure.
Ye PGDBF karne k baad job lagne ki guarantee hoti hai na ya usme bhi koi conditions hoti hai. Plz agar kisi ko knowledge ho to batana.
Should I tell the interviewers about my Post Graduation course that I am continuing? And I also missed my pg exams this semester, will I be allowed to give the back papers after joining?
