The IBPS PO IV and Clerk IV final results have been declared. Many of you have been selected as PO or Clerk in Public Sector Banks. It is expected that you will have some queries regarding the joining procedure and the training process for banks. In this article, we'll try to briefly answer some of these queries.
1. What is Provisional Allotment?
The IBPS shortlists and allots one of the Participating Banks to candidates who have qualified in both CWE Interview and have cleared the final cut off. This allotment is based on candidates' merit & preferences. The IBPS will send a selection + confirmation email to all candidates about their allotted bank. The role of the IBPS in the PO IV & the Clerk IV process finishes at this point and the individual banks take over.
2. What comes next after provisional allotment?
Individual banks will send an intimation mail with the details of formalities to all their allotted candidates. These intimations will be sent to the candidates' registered email ids (also, physical copies will be sent to their registered correspondence address). The intimation letter will describe their appointment or joining details, including the dates on which the candidates have to report to the bank for training and also the documents & certificates that the candidates need to carry for verification. If the candidate has to undergo any medical tests or similar exams, the letter will detail the same as well.
3. When do banks call candidates for training or joining processes?
It is entirely dependent on individual banks as to when they call selected candidates for training or joining. The minimum gap between sending the intimation mail and the result declaration date is usually 10 days. However, banks may also delay sending the intimation by as much as two, three or six months after results are declared. In such cases, candidates are advised to keep checking their emails regularly and follow online forums like PaGaLGuY.com for news regarding the allotment.
4. How is training conducted?
Training is usually carried out by banks for all candidates. These programs are normally 10-15 days long. They are conducted at the banks' own training centres, zonal offices, or head offices. Banks may provide hostels or stay facilities during this period. Classes are held for 5-6 hours daily wherein candidates are trained in the bank's processes and normal banking procedures. It is only after training is complete that a candidate can actually start working in the bank.
For PO: If you are selected as a Probationary Officer (PO), your training will be conducted by the allotted bank in their respective training centre.
For Clerk: If you are selected as a Clerk, your training will be conducted in the same state by the allotted bank in its training centre or in a regional zonal office.
5. What next, after Training?
For PO: After successfully completing their training, candidates are absorbed in the bank as Probationary Officers (JMG Scale-I) and posted in branches of the bank across India.
For Clerk: After successfully completing training, candidates are absorbed in the bank as Clerk and posted in branches of the bank across any district of the same state.

guys... ma PO score is 48.4 (OBC) missed by 0.2... and nw in d reserve list... Got selected in Syndicate bank as Clerk... waiting for IBPS SO results... meanwhile got selected in NIA AO... i'm confused... suppose if i get slctd in SO... which is d best option SO Or NIA AO???

my PO score is 47.6(UR). i did not qualify. i would like to know my percentile or rather the number of candidates between the last qualified successful candidate and i.
In the combined score card it says :
"you have been provisionally allotted against vacancies in UNRESERVE category in...."
What is meant by "unreserve" category?

People in the range of 82-88 in written scoring 75 plus in interviews and saying that there interview went exceptionally well and bla bla....

and in clerk just above the cutt off or 10 marks above it , then why they called us for interview if they not gonna give us jobs ..........??????
I got 52 marks and got Corporation Bank . I have given i4 th pref since at the time of form filling I was not much aware of banks. How is it? If anyone knows about Corporation Bank please throw some light
Blaming reservation system for our failure is childish .... Getting anything below 100 indicates lack of effort ....nothing else ..... I too failed ....
