Friends, I am not posting this to make fun, dishearten or create hopeless situation to somebody or everyone. I only want to put forward a realistic view based on few numbers. I will post guessed number of vacancies and expected cutoff range. If you feel falling in the range I mentioned is very tough, then you are thinking right. Getting a PO job in general category was, is and will be tough. We need to have excellent performance in both written and interview and cant always depend on luck that even if we are near to cutoff we can gain a job with exceptionally good interviews.
Scenario 1:
No. of Vacancies: 19,528
This number has been calculated by dividing 48,820 candidates called for interview by 2.5. If this or a little more no.of vacancies are available then the cutoff can be near to or 52.8/100(max).
Scenario 2:
No.of Vacancies: 21,969
This number has been calculated by dividing 48,820 candidates by 2 and subtracting 10% from it. This 10% goes in reserve list. If no.of vacancies are as above or around +1000 also then the cutoff can be between 50.6 - 52.8, because there are many people who scored 100+ in general category and not on BA, PG and other famous websites, and we thinking that majority candidates are in 82-90 range is a foolishness. So the competition is really tough.
Note: 1) I am not god to actually decide someone's fate, but presenting what I think, so that we all can carry on with further plans like preparing for exams etc, but not to make someone hopeless.
2) Logically and realistically these can be the cutoffs and vacancies, but again if god has other plans for all of us, he is most welcome.
3) If cutoffs are anywhere below 50, I will be the happiest person, but I personally see no chance of cutoff being below 50 because of those invisible 100+ scorers.

ibps didnt call candidates with 82 marks( in written) for interview just to waste their time.. if they had to select candidates with 95+ marks they would'nt have called candidates with less than 95 marks for interview.. so taking that into consideration the final cut off would be such that people with less marks but performing well in interview will also get a fair chance for final selection..
In my online application I wrote my mother's surname as "vijay" (maiden) which she used everywhere currently but in my marksheet its written as "gupta" so now I am confused will it lead to disqualification in interview or need to give affidavit or shd write surname as gupta in interview biodata?
can anyone here guide me what to do in such situation?
1. what surname shd be written in Biodata form : actual one or application one
2. shd i give affidavit voluntarily without asking or wait for them to ask?

Expecting an overall cutoff of 49-50 for Gen category
for all those who are not confident after scoring more than even 95 marks.... ask guys with 82-85 marks.. how good ur marks are... everyone have a fair chance this tym... even with 82 marks.. u r not outta race in case u had an decent interview.... cutoff wont go beyond 46... have faith in urself..... n people with more than 95 marks... its ur tym to cheer and enjoy.. everything that could b done.. has been done... u gave your best... n u cant change that... enjoy your life buddies.....!!!!! cheers!!!

I have been selected for it officer scale 2 for Prathma bank .... I also cleared ibps po .. Got 93 marks in it ..
Should I join Prathma or should I wait for ibps po and what r my chances in po ... My interview was avg .
Or should I wait for recruitment of my state's rrb (Rajasthan )

how cum u all r able to predict ur definite interview marks...woh bhi itna accurate..dis time ibps po has gone 2 a different role.....82 se above -all hav de chance....i presume it totally depends upon interview now
