The government has raised excise duty on petrol and diesel by ₹3 each to boost revenue collections taking advantage of the declining global crude oil price. Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) has notified the additional excise duty on petrol and diesel by ₹1 each and special additional excise duty on the two fuels by ₹2 each, effective Saturday. From 70$+ to 33$ a barrel , yet we pay very exorbitant prices for petrol. 😑

After some calculations, without considering LPG and CNG incomes and the 30$+ profit per barrel , the 3rs increase in petrol and diesel prices , this is the amount for JUST THE 3RS INCREASE PER DAY . We are already paying 1re extra since the budget i DID NOT take that into account . Also i DIDN'T include state taxes . SO YEAH , WE'RE BEING ROBBED .
