ROLE OF TECHNOLOGY
Information Technology has basically been used under two different avenues in Banking.One is Communication and Connectivity and other is Business Process Re engineering. Information technology enables sophisticated product development, better market infrastructure, implementation of reliable techniques for control of risks and helps the financial intermediaries to reach geographically distant and diversified markets.
In view of this, technology has changed the contours of three major functions performed by banks, i.e., access to liquidity, transformation of assets and monitoring of risks.Further, Information technology and the communication networking systems have a crucial bearing on the efficiency of money, capital and foreign exchange markets.Internet has significantly influenced delivery channels of the banks.
Internet has emerged as an important medium for delivery of banking products & services. Detailed guidelines of RBI for Internet Banking has prepared the necessary ground for growth of Internet Banking in India.

@jrsrinu you can check some previous pages, I have attached a pdf of sample questions...
for prep, go for the books that you studied from for b.tech...
@junefever thanks I'll check them. I'm from ECE, so my knowledge pertains to C, C++ and some databases and general computer knowledge. From the Previous papers I see, they ask a considerable amount of technical questions.

@saikatha I don't have books concerning IT field. so have to read a single book i guess. By the way what's the syllabus of IT questions? it is almost 75 marks out of 200marks, in the exam.
