I Guess most of you would have joined as SO now in various banks. Can people working as IT Officers throw some light on work profile?

Is it a back office work or does it involve travelling to many branches? How is the work hours? What are the different job locations? I am waiting for SBI Associate PO interview results and also shortlisted for IT Scale 1 IBPS interview. Your inputs will help me to choose the right one

Need some answers urgently!

I have cleared IBPS SO IT officer scale 1. I am an electronics engineer and have done my MBA in finance. To add to this I have worked with HDFC Bank(Personal Banker). I have not mentioned my work-ex though. I think about all of this and does it make any sense to give this interview.

Please tell me what shud be my answer in the interview and what shud I read from my engineering topics (I have zero knowledge on languages). I am spending this days laughing about how interviewers will react after looking at my profile and what shud be my answers.

IBPS SO notification released

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released notification for much awaited IBPS SO (Specialist officer) exam, 2016. IBPS conducts IBPS SO exam for the recruitment of Specialist Officer Cadre in finance, human resources, legal, systems & marketing departments of various public sector banks in India.

IBPS has invited candidates for various positions. The details of these vacancies are as follows :

IT Officer

Agricultural Field Officer

Rajbhasha Adhikari

Law Officer

HR/Personnel Officer

Marketing Officer

Number of vacancies : Not specified

Maximum age limit (as on 1-11-2015) : Candidate should not be more than 30 year old.

Educational qualification : To check the required essential qualification, refer to the official notification.

Pattern of Exam : Selection of the candidate is done on the basis of Objective type test and personal Interview.

Paper pattern of this exam is as follows :

Reasoning Ability 50

English Language 25

General Awareness 50

Professional Knowledge 75

The objective type written exam is of 200 questions worth 200 marks in total which are to be solved within 120 minutes.
