Missed by 3.5 marks. Happy that missed the cutoff. Just clearing cutoff would have meant rejection in final list most probably.

My IT CSE friends. Need some suggestions 😃
Left Capgemini in 2013 to prepare for civil services. Had 10 months experience till then. Missed civils pre by 10 marks each time. Since 2015 Jan, appearing for various banking exams but no good luck till now. No interview call in PO though scored 90, missed IT officer by 3.5 marks.
Should I go back to IT industry? Many friends say it would be stupid to do so. I am 2012 pass out by the way. ocjp. Was one of the toppers in my branch. Now null and void! Many 5 and 6 pointers friends(poor in academics, computer science or basic English language)are in onsite.
Some SC st friends who didn't get any campus with 20-30 back papers are now SBI or bank PO.
Regreting over my decision to quit Capgemini 3 years back. I would been a consultant by now. Though, consoling myself that it was a risk that was needed to be taken.
So, should I- prepare further for banking exams or join back to IT sector???(as fresher software engineer, though would be humiliating) .. will IT sector take me back is another question. Concepts and foundation in CSE and Java is strong though.
ps- interested in both.
One last question from those who not selected for interview. Are your marks normalization in any section? Please mention your exam slot also.
