Lots of posts about cgl and bank PO are flooding the thread.. Now first thing CGL is a powerful job.. Pays more.. Less work.. Less pressure(in most case) and you've strong connections.. But seriously... Will you reach at the top post of your department ever working in SSC jobs? I'll always be filled by some IAS candidate... But that's not the case in bank... You can reach to the highest rank if you're interested... People are worried about salary of bank PO.. Now search BPS 2017 for bankers... The proposed basic is 57k... So your package is going to be 8L minimum... How will it be a bad salary? It's just that wage revision in central government jobs has already been done and banks have to wait.. This time the bankers union are not going to settle for a lousy increment.. Already the salary gap between bank and central government jobs of same rank has widened.. This time they've to fill the gap and make sure people in banking don't starve of a good salary..!!
