Many candidates are here who are clueless regarding Interviews... having many questions in there mind like.. How to face interview? What to prepare? How to impress the panel?
I am not a Mentor or an employee of a govt bank ...but yes I do have experience from last year's IBPS PO 2014 Interview which I can share it here with u all.. & this year again I will be appearing for the Interviews...

Now you all are worried what can be asked in interview.. how to present yourself infront of panel members etc etc.....
There is seriously nothing such to worry about..
1st of all few simple things you need to take care of:
1. Confidence & Positive Attitude is the key to Success..
2. Whatever you prepare/Whatever you say... jst make sure u look confident enough infront of them, present urself well, show u have high patience and tolerance level as 1-2 panel members try to make u nervous and they sometimes ask u ques in which they check ur patience level and ur way of answering ques in a cool/decent manner...
3. Even if u r unable to ans any ques... calm down, it happens.. there is nothing to worry.. you didn't committed a crime by saying sorry I dont know the ans... It's very much normal to say : "Sorry..sir/mam i read it somewhere or i know it but right now m unable to recall it.. The fact here matters is .. U NEED TO SPEAK SOMETHING.. Dont stare at them like a dumb fellow
4. Always wear a smile on ur face right from entering the interview room till the interview gets over.. be gentle in greeting panel members and in answering ques ..
5. Its ok if ur nt able to ans.. all ques... but make sure what u say.. say it confidently..
6. Dont forget you are there for an Officer Level Interview.. if u clear it.. u will be called an OFFICER... so maintain ur dignity.. show them how good ur in managing things / issues / situations confidently... show ur positive side.. show ur leadership skills..
7. The way you sit, the way you talk.. the way you present your answers and the way you communicate .. is sufficient to Impress or Depress the panel.

Now comes what all topics you need to cover for Interview questions:
1. All basics of your academics.. grad./post grad/phd level .. whether it be a science grad or a commerce or arts grad... revise all ur basics
2. Current Affairs/ Hot News on which u feel debate can be done or ques can be asked/ banking related latest news, banking terms and full forms/ news related to RBI & changes in rates
3. Work exp.. if any.... be prepared for ques related to this
4. All about ur family background, ur father's occupation..
5. Why u wish to work in a bank..?
6. Your plans for future?
7. Ques from your bank preferences you have mentioned in application form
8. Your hobbies & interests
9. Why should they consider you above all other candidates
10. Prepare SWOT analysis of yourself
11. How can you be an Asset for a particular bank..
12. ready to relocate or not.. if not given an option for transfer.. will you be able to survive in a city far away from your hometown
... Last but not the least....
"TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF?"

Government mulls merger of Bharatiya Mahila Bank into State Bank of India
Bharatiya Mahila Bank (BMB) may be absorbed by State Bank of India if a plan being considered by the government is accepted, said two officials aware of the matter. This would considerably reduce the scope of the United Progressive Alliance regime's move to establish a lender dedicated solely to women. The bank was set up in 2013 to promote women's entrepreneurship, access to financial services and empowerment.Bharatiya Mahila Bank has not been able to make much of a dent in the market. Total advances stood at Rs 446 crore at September-end, strengthening the view that a standalone bank for such a specific need is not justified at such a level of operations, especially since the Narendra Modi government has made a strong push on the financial inclusion front with the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana."We have kickstarted various schemes to bring people, irrespective of gender, into the financial fold," said one of the officials cited above, adding that specific needs were being addressed."For example, the Mudra Yojana is aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and all banks are making efforts towards that," he said, referring to the government's Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency initiative. "There is no case for a bank aimed at a specific cause."More than one bank has shown interest in taking over BMB given it has no bad loans on its books and has a network of 84 branches, said the second official. Deposits amounted to Rs 920 crore in September."It will be a clean merger and will boost the acquiring bank's balance sheet besides adding to its low-cost deposits," said the official. BMB's current and savings accounts (CASA) amounted to Rs 110 crore at the end of September. An outright closure of the bank will be unacceptable to Congress, which heads UPA, some experts pointed out, since it was a plan that emanated from top echelons of the party. The solution being considered by the government may be seen as the less painful alternative, they said.The last merger among public sector banks was the merger of State Bank of Indore with SBI in 2010. One of the options is to merge BMB with another bank but retain the branches as specialised ones catering primarily to women.The government is also not keen on pumping in additional resources to help the fledgling bank meet regulatory requirements, given that it needs to infuse funds into older institutions to meet norms."As BMB grows, it will have capital requirements. Already, we are financially stretched with our bank capitalisation programme," said one of the officials, adding that the government has asked banks to explore consolidation options and look at areas of commonality.

Re :Appointment Status in Government Owned Bank "Bhartiya Mahila Bank"
We have the honour to bring to your kind attention that we have been shortlisted for the probationary officers in scale - I cadre by the "Institute of Banking Personnel Selection", which is an autonomous agency in India conducted in October 2014. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has shortlisted us after conducting the tough written examination among millions of students followed by interview. After successfully qualifying through all these steps Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has provisionally allotted us the "BhartiyaMahila Bank", which is owned by government of India in April 2015.
As per information provided by the above said bank there were one hundred and ninety (190)candidates who had allotted to the "BhartiyaMahila Bank". Among one hundred and ninety (190) candidates thirty five (35) candidates have already received their joining but almost one hundred and fifty five (155) candidates are still waiting for their turns.In April 2015 when we received the mail from Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for our provisionally allotment in the "BhartiyaMahila Bank" we have stared enjoying our life because we have achieved one of the major and very important milestone of our life.Since the allotment we start waiting for our turn but after passing three months of our allotment, when we didn't get any official mail from "BhartiyaMahila Bank" then we have tried to contact them through phone as well as email.Since then consequent upon our telephone calls and email there replies are same that your joining is yet to be decided.During these course we came into the touch of our seniors also who got their selection for Manager in scale- 2 cadre in "BhartiyaMahila Bank" and we became very surprised to know that they are facing almost the same situation as we are.
After listening all these facts from our seniors we have started to mail "BhartiyaMahila Bank" regarding to understand the status of our joining but unfortunately they didn't respond the any of our mail.Then we have mailed to the IBPS, FMO as well as PMO.But it was also surprising that except referring our mail to other department neither FMO nor PMO has responded us. Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) simply communicated us that our turn is over after allotting you the participating organisations and contact to your participating organisation. After complaining to the FMO as well as PMO we have received the reply from "BhartiyaMahila Bank" was "your allotment is valid till 31.03.2016 and we shall be issuing appointment orders to the remaining candidates as and when vacancies arise".
The above reply has disappointed us and for verifying the genuiness we have visited their head office situated at Nehru place, Delhi and get the appointment with their high officials on 26th OCT 2015. But after the meeting we felt that we have committed very big mistake. Their officials statement were very painful that "now you people will not get the joining in the bank as the bank's fate is totally in the hand of government and due to the government instructions we are not going to call further any more candidates either in Probationary Officers scale -1 or Managers scale - 2".When we asked to provide the above statements in written they simply denied us and said prepare for other competitive examinations and it's crossed all the limits of our hope, optimism and patience. BMB is mentally harassing us. It's a case of partiality that some of candidates from our batch are called and got joining but we are advised to prepare for further exams.
Million of candidates have faith on IBPS but as in our case we are feeling helpless. No one is ready to help us. Even IBPS has already started the process of PO V. Already conducted the exam. But who will take our responsibility?
Concluding the letter we humbly request you to personally interfere in the matter without referring it to the any other departments and provide us the justice.
