RBI GRADE B ATTEMPT IN QUANT
People always wonder how allotment is done based on preference.
This is what I know (corrections are welcome)
- it's obvious rank 1 and other top rankers get their 1st preference.
- now X is ranked 100. His 1st preference is PNB, but all PNB seats have been allotted to the top 99. So X gets his second preference ( eg BOB).
- similarly Y is ranked 200. His 1st preference is PNB. As all PNB seats have already been taken, his 2nd preference is checked (eg BOB). Now if all BOB seats have also been taken by the top 199, Y will be then be given his third preference (and so on).
I hope it's clear how preference works. 😁

When one of the interviewer ask a ENGINEERING graduate " Tum Engg. Karke bank kyun aye or ap sab desh ko barbad kar diya or ap sab bank may aa jayenge toh Bsc,bcom etc kahan jayenge" ? Then what will be your answer to such questions. Are they throwing such questions to test ur patience & calmness in a tensed situation ? P.S: I am a Engg. Grad. 😛
