Has is singular (She, He, it) Have is plural (I, you, we, they)
Don`t think this is a difficult issue.

May be your problem is in the subject verb agreement. See the chapter of SBAgreement in the Manhatan Sentence Correction Guide.

This statement means that pregnant women likes broccoli and they smell of tuna fish (smelling like a fish)

so the correct statement will be

The answer would be E.
You can reject A, B, C based upon the fact that they violate the law of parallelism. between D and E, correct choice is E because D has subject verb disagreement also does not look like a right construct to me..

Others please chip in..

fine but did you find "inventory turns over" as the right usage? I mean turnover is the general connotation we use..

Yes you are right.. that sounds fishy... so what do u suggest?.. which one is correct then?..

I think the problem with choice D is that it creates an inversion between the subject and the verb. I would say "How frequently the inventory is turned" over rather than "How frequently is the inventory turned over". So the last part of the sentence is like a question.

i will also go with option E looks to be more precise and as how is aslo rquired as the first part has the same
and turns over seems to be quite ok.

Please tell me if I am wrong

E is the correct answer..but the only part which i cudnt digest was the "inventory turns over" thing..

but yeah these options are like best of the worst..

(E) Though virtually unavailable outside Yokohama, most Japanese consider genmai-cha, a special green tea that contains brown rice, a gourmet delicacy.

First thing, D doesn't even contain the word 'gourmet'. Secondly, in 'D', the sentence means that the Japanese consider the delicacy virtually unavailable outside Yokohama; which is not what the original sentence intends to mean.

Hope i am clear. πŸ˜ƒ Also, please post all your doubts in one post instead of making multiple posts.

The subject here is Japanese green tea and not Japanese people. So while selecting the options, see that you do not change the subject.

The only correction required was in as a .. as is not required here..

For this sentence, I thot the correct answer was (c) but the correct answer is (A). I do not understand why (A) is the correct answer. The number of women in the state legislatures (Has) grown - (verb) is not in agreement with the subject (number of women) which is plural.

C could have been correct had there been a 'a' between the words 'been' and 'growth'. (Am not very sure though )
"there has been a growth in the number of women in state legislatures"
