Hi friends, I just did my GMAT last week and scored a 600 (Q47, V27, AWA3, IR6)
I honestly gave it my best effort, doing all the prep the best I could (OGs, Testprep software, Simulated exam conditions, slept well before exam). I was feeling confident on test day, and even during the test itself I thought I was doing pretty well.
Then came the shock 600 at the end.
I am beginning to think perhaps I am not cut out for GMAT. My intention for taking the GMAT was to pursue a Phd in Business from one of the top research universities in the US. As I understand from speaking with faculty, even though most school do not require a minimum GMAT, a 740 should generally be the bare minimum an international candidate like myself should possess.
Would improving my score at the next test to 740 be mission impossible? Should I consider taking the GRE instead?
Hi guys!

Is there any possibility for me to get into good university for MBA in abroad or isb without work experience? What will be the ideal score to get into good university? .my target is 700+.If anyone is interested to join me on weekends to crack gmat this year can ping me. Thankyou!

I hope you find this message in best of your spirit. This message for all who aspire to prepare for GMAT through self-study or by joining some study group.
I am planning to start a study group in PUNE. The clear agenda is regular study rather weekly assessment plan. As part of my plan rather than focusing or teaching each other concepts, we will commence with assessment. It will definitely help you to identify the areas where you are lagging. All the concepts involved into those tests will be discussed thoroughly. Whatever concepts you have gathered will be tested and argued to its full extent. Ultimately which will prepare you to the apply those concepts better into your exams.
PS : We will be focusing more on Verbal section.
I am highly motivated to start it asap, as I want to be ready with my GMAT score way too early so that I can dedicate most of my time to the application (essays writing). Ideas and road maps have already been drawn, looking for few more serious folks who can share the motivation and contribute to our disciplined study plan.
My funda would be, Read books (good books), gather concepts and come together to apply what you have gathered.
PS: This is purely non-profitable plan, and the only motive is to keep up the motivation and enthu. to fetch 750+ in GMAT.
I shall give more details and share my contact once I am ready with commodities for Inception. Please keep checking this space for more updates on this.
Hello Puys,
I am a Commerce graduate fresher . I gave CAT and SNAP this year for shortlisted for GDPI for SIBM , SCMHRD, SIIB, SITM but have landed up in the waitlists.
I wanted to ask that how and when should I start studying for GMAT and should I or should I concentrate on CAT and Snap again.
I am aware for a MBA abroad or in ISB experience is important also what level of job experience is expected .
Thanks in advance.

Hello Puys , I am an Engineer (Power Engineer) working in IL&FS since September'15. I gave CAT and XAT this year. Got new IIMs and XIMB- BM. I am planning to drop and study while I continue working. The Problem is when should be the ideal time for taking GMAT as I plan to apply to ISB in Early entry option. Also, how much time would it take to prepare for the exam considering I am working and aspiring to get decent score. My profile is - X-84%, XII-74, Grad-71% 😛 :P, CAT'15- 97.66, XAT'15-94.45 , work ex- 7months.
I need an honest opinion- IS GMAT feasible seeing my not so good academic past ? Should I take CAT again ? Really confused. 😞
