I read some where this sentence" Does Everyone have their book. "But the correct sentence given was after that " Does everyone have his (or her) book."But my question is that whether have is correct here with everyone.Should the correct sentence not be " Does everyone has his (or her) book".Please guys your thoughts and also i have posted some questions before also.
No. Let me start by asking you a simpler question. "Do you have/has your book?" or "Shall we have/has dinner now?" It is have, right, in both cases? Same thing here too.

"Does have" is equivalent to "has" in usage terms. By which I mean - "Does have" would be used where the normal usage would be "has" ["he has", "she has", "everyone has" becomes "does he have..?" and so on...] and "do have" when the normal would be "have" ["I have". "you have", "we have" "they have" becomes "do I have...?" etc].

C -- that gives a relative pronoun error
D--- Best of the lot
E - May be right as Would ought to bring conditional statement and If only brings that

The correct answer for this question should be E.

D actually changes the intended meaning. We need a reason why building is wasteful and the use of "while" seems to be introducing another piece of info, not providing a reason not to build.

E is the only correct option in that it gives the reason (at the very least, because duplication should be avoided) and expresses the intended meaning clearly.

NOTE: Please do not study problems from 1000 series, which is not representative of actual GMAT problems of today's times. The problem becomes more compunding if you use 1000 SC as it can have detrimental impact on your SC concepts and pattern recognition ability.

I suggest the following books
OG 12
OG 13
OG Verbal Review Edition 2

Many students and tutors underestimate the relevance of the aforementioned books. But let me tell you - if there were a singlemost important source to study for the GMAT, it would be the OGs and the problems from the GMAT Prep software. You can also purchase additional resources from GMAC for extra practice of GMAT representative questions. I would not recommend to learn from the GMAT Prep software problems initially, because that may result in skewed or inflated GMAT Prep scores for you when you retake you GMAT Prep tests later. Save these practice questions for the last couple of weeks.

The most important point here is not to rubbish few of the probems by clasifying them as easy but to extract the maximum juice out of every single problem on the OGs. Stop and think about all the channels of thought, recongnize patterns and in the process cement your fundamentals.

I keep saying this everytime - "GMAT is an EXAM of pattern recognition."

Realizing this will take you a long way in terms of increased accuracy, speed, confidence, making things less comlicated, etc.

One important note: While the problems on the OGs are highly apt for your preparation and answer keys to them are sacrosanct and not to be question, often the explaination for these questions are not as great. Perhaps the GMAC staffs writing the answer explainations are not as talented or not as serious as those who created the problems. πŸ˜ƒ So you have to put in effort and dig in more into each problem and see through the right line of reasoning. Subsequently, you may also look at discussions on that particular problem on different forums. It is always good to have different perspective on an issue.

Additional books to supplement your preparation include:

Powerscore CR Bible
MGMAT SC Strategy Guide
Aristotleprep SC Grail Latest Edition

Further, you need to practice dilligently with loads of patience.

All the best!

@bodhi_vriksha

Thanks....but why do u say that 1000 SC is not the correct source of preparation ?/

OK...here are a bunch of reasons why I say that:

1> Most importantly 1000SC is a banned source because it illegally uses copyrighted problems

2> Some of the questions are fine, but some are not representative of GMAT, and some contain outright errors

3> The explanations will probably confuse you more than help you and you might end up feeling lost

I think these reasons are enough to stay away :)
