I am confused btw C & E........will go with E.....
Can anyone help me in this question:--

E for me. In D 'much' can't refer to adults, it has to be 'many' I think.
Guys i am expecting some healthy reasoning, reasoning like why a particular op is wrong and one is correct...my struggling and have some confusion thats y..
Now, as per my observation, the choice should be between C & E, i had posted D earlier, my mistake. C seems incorrect to me because "those" seems to refer to adults, which cannot be twice, they can be twice the number.

Researchers claim to have developed new "nano-papers" incorporating tiny cellulose fibers, which they allege give them the strength of cast iron.
The above sentence is from mgmat sc. Contextually, "they" must refer to Researchers (as they is used to refer to living things) and "them" to nano papers ( as nano papers are the things being developed which get cast iron strength).
So the sentence seems to be correct but as per the guide it is wrong as the antecedents they and them may refer to any of the nouns. Please explain this as any other noun will not fit in here.

IMO D,
i think, "In which" should be used rather than using "Where" so A,C,E out...secondly, verb used in B "has" is wrong as the subject is deals.."deals has weakened" is wrong...hence D wins...
One more thing, can u tell me what's the difference between OP A and OP C...both are word to word same..

I would go with E. Industries is a noun place and so where is suited here. "In which" is used for conditions, curcumstances etc.

I think, where would be more appropriate referring to places, further changes demand have and finally or and not and is apt.
Can you please explain the reason to choose or and not and?
I see it this way, X may be unwise cause Y or Z...there may b other reasons than Y and Z...its just that these two hve been mentioned here ...'AND' on the other hand will limit the no. of reasons and distort the meaning.
this is only my understanding , someone pl correct, if necessary.
We know that infinitives lose the 'to' when they follow certain verbs such as hear. In that respect, we have come across statements like "Can you hear someone screaming"? Is this sentence correct or is "Can you hear someone scream" correct?
