@amit-sharma28 I think the DS in CATS of past years were very good ........I find DS in GMAT a little easier than CAT standards , I am not sure but if u get the study material of DS when CAT was paper based (around 2004 onwards) u can get a good amt of practice .........also u can find zillions of questions in a plethora of GMAT forums ........

Is the measure of one of the interior angles of quadrilateral ABCD equal to 60 degrees?
(1)Two of the interior angles of ABCD are right angles.
(2)The degree measure of angle ABC is twice the degree measure of angle BCD.
@Mission_10 i think ur approach for 2. question ie wieght of John is wrong coz the eqn from 1st stmt shud be T+M = J
so i dont knw how u computed further..

for the quest of dist of A and B.. dey hv nt mentioned from which direction is C.. they hv nt given A,B,C are in straight line.... so both are insufficient...,
d.For a convention,a hotel charges a daily room rate of $120 for 1 person and x dollars for each additional person.what is the charge of each additional person
1.The daily cost per person for 4 people sharing the cost of a room equally is $45
2.The daily cost per person for 2 people sharing the cost of a room equally is $25 more that corresponding cost for 4 people.

I am a GMAT aspirant and I need to write the exam in next 8 weeks before 15 November. Can u please guide me:

1. How to prepare methodically in 8-10 weeks with job?

2. Which are the key sections and which books to refer?

3. I need to improve my writing skills as well,. how to go about it?

4. Is it required to join a course for this, I am an Engineer having decent maths and normal english knowledge. In case, there is a need pl refer a good institute near Rohini

Even, CP suits me post 6 pm on working days.

5. R there any study groups functional in Rohini and nearby areas. I would love to join them.

P help with this. Looking forward to some fruitful interactions here.

From statement 1, we get x^3 x^2 |x| x can be negative or positive. Insufficient!


From statement 2, we get x^2 > 1 => |x| > 1 => x can be negative or positive. Insufficient!


Even after combining, we cannot get an answer, as there is no common value for x. Answer is E.

My answer says, it would be C, although some expert says it will be E.

Could anyone please advice !
