Although the pesticides used in nearby fields are the primary cause of pollution in the Ellenville River, researchers believe that increased automobile traffic in the immediate vicinity is a contributing cause, since nearly all water samples taken from the river show signs of contamination from vehicular emissions. Such emissions are not typically considered a major source of water pollution, but researchers hypothesize that vehicular emissions are the source of more pollution in the Ellenville River than are pesticides.Which of the following, if true, most strongly supports the researchers' hypothesis?
Hello everyone.
Greetings
Ive just started my preps by self studying and I was going to rely solely on Manhattan CR book. Ive finished reading it as well as practicing the questions and grasped all the core concepts.
I couldn't agree fully with the time taking diagram/notes method and frankly, I still solve the CR questions by:
1. Identifying the q type(thus reminding myself of the associated 2-4 key points of that type)
2. mapping the whole question in mind
3. cancelling all the negative options
4. go by instincts if still unsure
Is this the proper way in your opinion?
If not, should I start it all over again by referring to Kaplan books about which I've been recommended? Or do you guys recommend any other source?
Thanks in anticipation.

At present the Hollywood Restaurant has only standard-height tables.
However, many customers come to watch the celebrities who frequent the
Hollywood, and they would prefer tall tables with stools because such
seating would afford a better view of the celebrities. Moreover, diners
seated on stools typically do not stay as long as diners seated at
standard-height tables. Therefore, if the Hollywood replaced some of its
seating with high tables and stools, its profits would increase.
The argument is vulnerable to criticism on the grounds that it gives reason to believe that it is likely that
(A) some celebrities come to the Hollywood to be seen, and so might choose to sit at the tall tables if they were available.
(B)
the price of meals ordered by celebrities dining at the Hollywood
compensates for the longer time, if any, they spend lingering over their
meals.
(C) a customer of the Hollywood who would choose to sit at a
tall table would be an exception to the generalization about lingering
(D)
a restaurant's customers who spend less time at their meals typically
order less expensive meals than those who remain at their meals longer
(E)
with enough tall tables to accommodate all the Hollywood's customers
interested in such seating, there would be no view except of other tall
tables.

“Life expectancy” is the average age at death of the entire live-born population. In the middle of the nineteenth century, life expectancy in North America was 40 years, whereas now it is nearly 80 years. Thus, in those days, people must have been considered old at an age that we now consider the prime of life.
Which of the following, if true, undermines the argument above?

Traverton’s city council wants to minimize the city’s average yearly expenditures on its traffic signal lights and so is considering replacing the incandescent bulbs currently in use with arrays of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) as the incandescent bulbs burn out. Compared to incandescent bulbs, LED arrays consume significantly less energy and cost no more to purchase. Moreover, the costs associated with the conversion of existing fixtures so as to accept LED arrays would be minimal.
Which of the following would it be most useful to know in determining whether switching to LED arrays would be likely to help minimize Traverton’s yearly maintenance costs?
Hi,
Im scheduled to be taking my GMAT on 20 September'14.
I was enrolled with Princeton Review. - So far I have completed the Princeton Review material (online and Paper)
- I have completed the OG-13 edition, thereafter I started with the OG 12 edition However iv observed that almost all of the questions in the OG 12edition are repeated(as in same as 13th edition)
As evident from the date above i currently have an entire month of Prep time on Hand.
Can someone please suggest a book that i can take to for practice in the remaining days (especially for Verbal).
My choice would be the Quant/Verbal review by GMAC. However if the questions are not going to be challenging enough then it will not make great practice for me.
Practice Test scores - 610 - 630 (on the Princeton tests) I need to make it to 700 - 710
Please suggest.
Best Regards.
