Def before the time you have to decide about joining and paying fee for the college.
do they have case based gds for GIM.....?? how much time is given before the discussion starts..?

Going by last year trend, there should not be any case based GD. You get approximately 1 minute to think on the topic. Then everone has to give an introduction on the topic followed by open discussion and then every one has to conclude as well.

2. But patience is the need of the hour. I can assure you that you are def getting a call.
3. I had a chat today with Jeny mam and she told me that it will be def up on website by Monday.

People who are eligible and haven't yet got the call: happened to one of my friends. Yesterday he then just sent an email to the email-id mentioned in the contact us section of GIM website. He got the call after that. Do try this. As I understand, today is holiday in GIM. Still try it out.
Also some of the interviews that were conducted last year were of the "STRESS" nature. A candidate was asked to explain the working of digital camera. The next was asked to explain the fundamentals behind the working of a pulley.
A pragmatic response to such situation is
1)Answer confidently if you u are aware of such subject
2)If u are unaware of the subject , donot drool around. Say it straightforward that "sorry , am unaware of it"

can someone pls tell me what all docs we need to bring at the time of gd/pi... originals or photocopies....
i ve 20 months work ex... and i cant get work certificate... bt i have my joining letter n pay slips... will these be sufficient???

1. Xth, XIIth, Graduation Certificates
2. Xth, XIIth, Graduation Marksheets
3. Recent Photo Identity Card
4. Print out of the call letter
5. PEN
6. Proof of any information you filled in the form
7. Proof of Govt Recg Achievement, if any
It won't harm if you have one photo copy as well.
CV is not a compuslory part of the GIM admission process.
But it is advisable to have a copy of your CV at hand.
Try to get the work ex certificate if possible. If not, then joining letter and the pay slips would suffice.

1. Now you cannot check the details you filled.
2. For those having govt recognised achievement, calls have been given at lower %ile. By how much, we don't know. But there are very few calls like that.

It's been 5 days since the result is out and I am just shocked to see that the login link is still not up on GIM's website...
Not expected from a great insti like GIM of which i dream to become a part of...sad
A little insight into whats happening in GIM.
On Saturday 18th February, we had a highly unusual guest lecturer. Mr. Sivanandan, the top cop from Mumbai police give a lecture on corruption and its extensive penetration in the public domain in India. The top cop's role played by Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the Hindi film Company is believed to have been inspired by Mr. Sivanandan.
He was also the man who prepared the draft of the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act, and who had successfully investigated the IC 814
Kandahar hijack links in Mumbai.
He has served in various departments in Mumbai police (from being a superintendent of police in the intelligence department to immigration) and has been credited with its computerization post 1993. He took up the position of joint commissioner of police (crime) in 1998 when underworld gang violence was at an all-time high in Mumbai.
The students were in awe of such a grand personality and all the initial inhibitions in contributing to the interaction were overcome by the fact that he was very forthcoming and an ardent speaker. His talk encapsulated the importance of getting the public domain and the society largely rid of corruption for India's growth and development and to give us a competitive advantage over other countries. All the students were enraptured by the speaker and his experiences and anecdotes.
I'm happy that Ribandar talks invites a wide variety of speakers for its talks and does not only restrict itself to the corporate world. Supply chain managers and marketing guru's provide a very valuable lessons for management students but a speaker like sivanand provides invaluable lessons for everyone.
This was one talk I will remember all my life.

2. The result link will be up on website by tomorrow.
3. Also check your spam folder, or the alternate email id you mentioned. Because few people got mails there as well.
