Sir,Iam a mechanical engineering student.All the engineering students are facing huge shortage of vacancies in the PSU s through GATE,When comparing with 2015& 2016 ,the scenario has changed as the PSUs again started recruiting through campus placements from IITS and NITS.The problems that a common engineering graduate facing are 1)Drastic decrease in job vacancy in PSUS in 2017 due to the direct campus recruitment by PSUS from NITS,IITS. 2)There is no common admission portal for the recruitment of PSUS.As a result the top rankers who are getting 5-6 jobs at a time,finally join only 1 PSU which is a wastage of vacancy both in PSU and MTECH seat.COAP has been introduced this year by IITs where MTECH admission are brought under common platform.Eventhough there is a provison for PSUS to join COAP this year,they havent joined.As a result no WAITITNG LIST opportunity is there for students.So there is wastage of almost 60% of seats in PSUS. 3)The Bombay Court said that the campus interview method violated the fundamental rights guaranteed under Article 14 (Equality before Law) and Article 16 (Equality of opportunities in matters of public employment) of the Constitution).In August 2013, the apex court dismissed a review petition against the Bombay High Court order related to a plea in a case — Sonali Pramod Dhawade versus Central Bank of India — that permanent vacancies in public employment to be filled by inviting applications from the public at large. 4)The Ministry’s Department of Legal Affairs recently reaffirmed that “campus recruitment by PSUs in view of the decision of the High Court of Madras dated September 7, 2015 may be questioned as an unconstitutional way of recruitment to public employment” and may amount to “discrimination”.But no measures have been implemented. so to resolve the problem ,please stop CAMPUS RECRUITMENT OF PSUS from IITS,NITS,STATE GOVT. COLLEGE,bring the psu recruitment under a COMMON ADMISSION PORTAL( merge PSU recruitment with COAP),give provison of WAITING LIST SYSTEM in PSU recruitment.I hope to receive a reply soon. thanking you ....pls send this or edit the format to folowing mail ids
