Even i have got three identical mails...but I never filled in a second option in my application.
Well I have been selected for RAT in Finance and Accounts Area at IIM-B. Here is my full profile:
X- 82.4
XII- 71
Btech (Amity University)- 67.3
MBA- Finance (West Bengal University of Technology)- 71
Work ex- 1 yr as derivatives analyst, 8 months as Eco and Finance Lecturer
NO UGC NET/NO GMAT/ NO GRE/NO GATE
Frankly I have no idea what impressed the admission committee as nothing in my profile jumps out and impresses. May be they liked my SOP. So moral of the story is "Just Apply and hope for the best" 
Questions to Seniors:
1. Is accomodation at IIM-B free or is it paid?
2. Is there any area specific test at IIM-B for finance area? If yes, what kind of questions are asked? Is it an objective test or a subjective test?

Got a call from IIMB for my second preference - IS
ďťżRAT is a qualifying exam. For RAT IIMs call all the people who fulfill eligibility criteria. Almost 100 per stream take RAT and then only about 15-20 are selected per stream and out of these only 3-4 get final selection at max. So, if u are eligible, u r shortlisted. nyways ATB. Unlike me u have an opportunity to visit IIM-B in any case. Congrats!!! after all IIM call is IIM call yaar!!
anybody got calls from PnOM or QM area?
Are all the calls out for IIMB? or they have just called those ppl who applied thru RAT for now?
@sayanddude no..i had not applied through RAT anyways...neither do i have JRF...so I guess they are calling subject-by-subject.
I just now called IIM-B Finance and accounting as well as Economics have been completely declared and I am out of the scene by confirming on telephone.
