I can see rohan_b getting rebuked by every Pool fan for his post..guyzz hes upset so plzz dnt add more salt to his wounds of yest match.. a Sincere Request...
Nw coming to the bold part rohan_b i m nt amused with what u hav said here but i wud still forgive u for that.. Flecther was that time a gr8 player n in form for us that year who dint played the final n SAF made a little tactical error too.. n btw the Scoreline was 2-0 unlike 3-1(Arsenal) or 5-0(Real Madrid)
so plzz talk something that makes sense.. though i guess its nt ur fault but last nites match effect on u...
Dude get over it.. its all part of the game .. no point in rebuking anyone n everyone..
I m a Man utd fan but even for me Barca is the team to beat..
I would be disappointed if they dnt win CL dis year too..
P.S. Dil pe mat le yaar.. U still have EPL title to play for n dat too against my team..
dude the same team(almost) lost to switzerland(though the match wasnt at nou camp) with same tactics.and you still say they are unbeatable?minnows like Hercules have beaten them at nou camp.so,i would say....with right tactics IT IS POSSIBLE.
I knw abt dat match.. yes Barcelona r beatable provided these conditions are met:
1. good CM who can break there midfield pairing n link up play 2. opp team shud be Good on counter attack 3. Barca being wasteful n dnt convert any chances + good defending 4. All those teams or any team i mentioned steps up there level dat day.. 5. if Messi , Villa or Xavi or Iniesta any two of them are nt playing.. 6. Barca take things for granted..
See u can win anytime to Barca if those points are followed.. but they lost to Hercules for a diff reason as far as i believe...
1.It was starting phase of the season... 2.Valdez was at fault for 1 goal.. n for me he is nt a top Keeper..pretty average.. 3.Xavi , Pedro n Alves started from bench... no Puyol.. I Dnt rate Pique much in terms of backtracking.. 4.Barca was taking things a little too much for granted...
Arsenal Vs Barcelona..... That is the past now. All you Gunners Fan out there.... Keep your head high as your team did what not many have done this season.... you defeated the mighty Barcelona, one of the best team in the history of club football, even if it was at home. :cheerio::cheerio::cheerio:
Its time to look forward to the future and your future does look bright in the hands of Fabregas, Wilshere, Ramsey, Gibbs etc.
Meanwhile your cross town Rivals Spurs are up against Milan tonight. What do you think - can Spurs have the bragging rights over Arsenal this season as far as Champions League is concerned?????
Any predictions??????
I think Spurs will do it. Milan will find it tough to win it with Bale returning. Who wouldve thought the Mighty milan would fall to Spurs? But then they are Milan and can screw anyteam any day

AC Milan vs Tottenham Hotspurs One sure helluva interesting match it will turn out to be.
Gareth Bale is back, but Alexander Pato is in good nick as well. And so is Zlatan Ibrahamovich. It'll be a goal spree out there for sure My money is still on Spurs, but Milan are a hard shell to crack.

P.S. its just my opinion n Pep Guardiola's too..
i think maybe at home game u can beat barca but at nou camp barca r unbeatable..i analysed the match of barca vs inter last yr at san siro nd think that barca starts there play from the gk nd procced forward if u can disturb its origin of passing from the goal keeper anyhow u can disturb its play but there is a huge risk in it cos if they r able 2 execute it u r in trouble cos they r pass masters of the highest order u even cant imagine in ur dreams..now if u disturb their origin nd press for counter attack then only u can score a goal against them but if they execute from this trouble u r dead at the back with less defenders..the only way u can beat them is thru COUNTERATTACK but only at ur home not at the nou camp cos they r brilliant there offensively as well as defensively..in hercules vs barca match there ws no iniesta nd no villa nd all otther key players as wrote by u started from the bench...at the barca vs inter match too i think barca cud hve scored 2-0 instead of 1-0 if iniesta had been there cos he was injured they were lacking a person who can penetrate the defence although they had done but still there was one player like iniesta dat was needed nd they cud hve destroyed inter at nou camp..so at nou camp barca r unbeatable nd the reason for dat has been explained in my previous post..
60 minutes gone. Still people are yet to see a goal in the England tie of AC Milan and Spurs. 61 minutes gone. Schalke 2-1 Valencia. It seems, more and more new German teams are dominating the European frontier in the recent times. And I am not complaining.
all over for milan so 2nd italian club out of the champions league. only once an italian side managed to qualify to the next round despite losing the first leg at home. All hope on inter now.
Schalke 04 was brilliant against valencia. valencia seriously missing their duo villa and silva .:lookround:
prediction for next set of match Chelsea ,Real madrid:cheerio: ,marseille/manu,bayern

And Marseille ka bhi kuchh nahi keh sakte, heinze can lead them to victory!!

arey nahin i was not saying that he will be doing goals!!! :drinking:
Heinze is a former United player and also he was influential in some important wins in this year's champions leagues!! He would be holding fort against united!!! Whatever i said in above post was just a tp and not seriously (abt other matches those were genuine comments :cheerio:)!!! But 3-0 looks very difficult!!! 2-0 max!!
I think United will be able to easily make the next round. With Vidic and Ferdinand returning they will be strong at the back again. I hope Nani will recover till then and with Valencia also returning United do look strong for the run in.
anyways...guys get to know the difference between gunner and gooner before refering an arsenal fan as gunner.
my personal view is that apart from man utd, no other team in premier league have anything at this moment to cheer about ( that includes arsenal).
liverpool: awesome 2005 ucl final..i don't think even barca have the heart to turn around the match after going 3 goals down. apart from that...nothing to cheer about. i know you have won 18 league titles. but how many after the introduction of new premier league in 1990. you know the answer!
chelsea: ok you have won few fa cup titles, 4 premier league titles. wait...correct me if i m wrong...just 4 league titles in the history of over 100 years.big daddy's pocket is getting empty now...
arsenal: 13 league titles, not even near to number 18 but far ahead from number 4. 8 times runner-up in premier league. 10 fa cup titles, 7 times runner-up. european cup winners once, 2 times runner-up. having the title of the invincibles for 49 times unbeated record, something which i bet no team is going to achieve considering the level of football being played in england right now. of-course no premier league title since 2004, no trophy since 2005.
united: i dont want to talk about them. though i hate to say this but at the moment they r the king.
i never wanted to come up with all the above mentioned stats but after seeing liverpool fans bragging against arsenal on almost everything, i couldn't resist.
talking about arsenal...beautiful football looks beautiful for couple of years, now we need a trophy to shut up all the wagging mouths. they have lot of issues, specially when key players get injured. i think szczesny is doing a great job and even fabianski was good this season. but we still need a top class goal keeper. coming to defenders...we need atleast 2 more in this area. in midfield we have fabregas, wilshere, nasri, song as regulars. when they get injured, problem starts for arsenal. who plays then? denilson, diaby, rosicky, eboue... out of these 4 rosicky is fine but the other 3 are hopless, god knows why wenger is keeping them. in the front line, we have rvp, chamakh, bendtner, walcott, arshavin..without any doubt rvp is out best choice, but he gets injured often. bendtner up front is same as denilson/diaby in mid-field. chamakh is good but he gets torn up quite often. walcott is having pace but he needs to work on getting his shots on target and he lacks confidence, just like rvp and fabregas he is injury prone. arshavin is a very nice player, even though he is out of form but he always gives us some hope. barca is the only team against whom we play and we don't have possesion. at nou camp possesion decreased further bcoz they went there with a mentality to defend. in that scenario we missed walcott becoz he can set up very good counter attacks. the tie with barca was always tough but better team won at last. losing a match without having a shot on goal is much better than losing the match by missing lot of oppurtunities, bcoz that shows the team doesn't lack in quality.
now we need to learn from our mistakes. we have to play matches now with a team that we have got..whether we like it or not. still two trohphies are there to be grabbed. that's a lot to play for.
Go Gunners...By Gooners!...no offense for any fans...
ok..just like gooners you don't need a trophy to reply...so it's ok if u r considering my post as a reply to ur post.. and FYI...my post was not a reply to your post. i didn't even remember that u wrote anything, now i had to go back few pages to look for ur post...ok now coming to main point...i guess you should really read properly what i wrote...and it is clear that you r not getting my point...what i meant to say is that every club has prons and cons... in case you missed..i even included arsenal after i gave some points on liverpool and chelsea... aur koi bhi doodh ke dhoole nahi hai yaar...if you are talking good about the club u support there is nothing wrong in it, but before u say something bad about other clubs u should remember that your club is not perfect either...criticizing a team is fine but not if you are hurting the sentiments of a fan.. i know we have not won any trophy since 2005, i know we r out of ucl, i know carling cup final was a disaster, but we are always optimistic...year after year we never lose hope...and this i think needs some appreciation..i know winning trophy is as important...no doubt on it...but what's more important right now is to keep the team together and motivated, bcoz tough fixtures are ahead for arsenal. we can cry over not winning the trophy after the season is over, but till the season is over, nothing else is over. once again i would like to say that this is a generic post, for all those (including some gooners) who criticize other teams and the post by some liverpool fan motivated me to write my earlier post...
for the bold part...don't you think every team and fan cry over it...
Dude dont take it personally :) FYI i knew it was not meant for me :) I just wanted to support your point. Even I want this constant mudslinging to end, and let this thread breathe some fresh air.
The only thing this explains is what a classless fans tottenham has I mean they actually took a DVD wen they finally beat Arsenal in the league after 13-14 years What more do you expect from their fans. Any ways the annual st totteringham's day is not very far off
