Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane is a surprising supporter of referee Cuneyt Cakir.
"In my career I would think 'did I give the referee a chance to send me off?'. If I did, then it is out of my hands. I think that is the right decision. It is irrelevant if Nani meant to do it. He should be aware of the players around him. Does he think that he will have 20 yards to himself?," he tells ITV Sport.
I did not see that coming.
Dunno what the referee was thinking..... nway past is past
In both ties decisions were against us (UTD), not that varane stopped united tonight but the decisions made in both legs favoured REAL,end of.....and i must say its not the 1st time refs have tainted games with english opposition, remember the barca game v chelski? and all this talk of backhanders in our game? something doesnt add up if you ask me....

But i felt there was no point arguing against the ref.
By rules,it was dangerous and hence deserved a red card
But by watching it on tv,it was never intentional and hence looked like a wrong decision.!
Bottom Line-> UCL is gone this year as well 😞
Stop hooting the trumpet, ManU fans. Don't go by what everyone's perception is. Look at the Nani tackle again. It was dangerous. Like Roy Keane said, he needs to be aware of the players around him. It was a malicious foul.
And after all the decisions that have gone your way over the years, it was good to see something going against you for a change! Played well though, and loved seeing Fergie reving up the crowd!

Well in all fairness the Match WAS bloody brilliant till the moment both the teams had 11 men on the pitch ! But when Manu lost Nani, Madrid had the upper hand.
Positives from the Madrid Manu fixtures
For Madrid - came back and won after a lagging behind, Ronaldo in killer form, Diego Lopez made some exceptional saves.
For Manu - welbeck among the goals, vidic is getting back to his older self, Degae had a very good first leg
Negatives from the Madrid Manu fixtures
For Madrid - Kaka needs more time on the Pitch!
For Manu - Poor finishing by the strikers (RVP and Rooney), midfield was not upto the mark gave away possession easily.

It was so boring man. Both sides were playing so tactically. Barely any chances in the first half!

Well the Vidic Header(hit the cross bar and popped out) was in the first half if I am not wrong, also the Chances RVP had...
Even in the dying minutes of the game Vidic came up with another header which was remarkably saved by Diego! Well I know it wasn't as interesting as the Arsenal Bayern match

But what was most surprising was Mourinho's post match statement ! Anyone suspecting a move to ManU for Mourinho end of this season ???

@Arun_Subhash Considering the chemistry between SAF and The One,looks possible !!
But one thing that just doesnt add up is his dirty tactics(wantedly get second yellow n such stuffs ) which definitely doesnt go well with the fans
Could not think of anyone else except David Moyes. He manages team extremely well with limited resources but lacks experience in top flight tournaments
well its gonna get very interesting ! Fergusson is gonna retire end of this season and he himself had pipped the names of Mourinho and Mancini as prospective managers at Trafford

David Moyes has been considered by a lot of clubs. Even Chelsea seem to be keen on him ...
