@Omkarp No friend u r mistaken, chelsea were not as big as they are now but we still managed to win few fa cups nd inter continental cups in between...
Nd m talkin about a demise here from being the invincibles to being trophy less for eight years is too big a fall for arsenal, yes they build a new stadium so what??? they could not buy new players but they could certainlly not let their players go hleb, flamini, nasri, fabregas, henry, persie, toure, song the list goes on....
@BABA_Pencho said:Well, I had all my money on Chelsea, and I still stick to my point! Had RDM been the coach, they still would be pushing the Manchester Clubs hard for the top spot! But, I am surprised as how Manchester Utd managed to go to the top with such a pathetic team! You know, if ManU puts all its players on sale, there won't be many takers for the likes of Carrick, Cleverly, Evra, Evans. But put them all together, and you get a super awesome team! This fact I had neglected at the start of the season!Manchester City is meanwhile suffocating in its own vomit of what I call as 'MONEY EGO'!They have the best players in the world, and they get toyed around by teams that are playing aggressive football! But I still think that the competition will get fiercer for the top spot in the coming weeks.
yaah they wont fetch much but that is the thing about united wch every other team lacks.its their self belief...i dont think any other premier league team has it at the moment.
@TONYMBA said:i second you...if Robin Van Persie wasnt there in ManU this season, they wouldnot been in top spot.....he scored so many late goals which came as winners....it would be Chelsea vs Manu till the end of the season for the Cup
if he wasnt there.....i dont think you should consider sir alex to have an average brain of a layman...he senses things beforehand....and just to add even if we didnt have RVP we would have still done well.last season with the kind of team we had we only lost on goal difference tht too after giving up an 8 point lead.
Wanted to see MANU vs Chelsea in FA Cup final.. Sad..:(

sir Alex would have come out with something gr8 if RVP would not be there in Man U this season...i just told statistically for this season's goals scored by RVP which came out to be winners....
Some great pics depicting some great goals... obviously not exclusive

Will try to look for that goal by Essien...

@BABA_Pencho said:What is needed for Arsenal right now, is to sack Arsene Wenger, and get a new aggressive gaffer! Someone like Heynckes or Mourinho or even Rafa Benitez, who can take risks and .Else, it won't be long before Arsenal falls into comparison with the likes of Everton, Stoke and the other such mid table clubs!
while the talk of mid-table to taking it toooo far i agree that time is up for wenger.
we will always remember him as someone who revolutionized Arsenal and English Football (along with SAF). many people think last 8years has been in vain they are not. only wenger would have maintained us in top4 with no money to spend whatsoever. i really loved wenger's regime till 2011. we had world class players in cesc, Van Judas and we were playing some awesome counter-attacking footy.
However it's clear that since 2011 there is no magic in the team. Now we have amassed cash reserves of 100m+ and he is still reluctant to spend. we have a new talisman in Wilshere. we need some 4 good signings. more importantly we need new tactics.
good thing is we have tons of cash unlike in the last 8 years. we have some really good young english core. if we find the right person to fill the gaps and bring new tactics we will have a bright future.
@chelseaboy Arsenal cannot win trophies for the last 8 years. only a miracle would have allowed it to win considering that they cannot spend any cash and god forbid have to make 15m profit every year to payoff the loan. wenger came very close to performing the miracle in 2009 only to be thwarted by ever-injured van persie and a broken leg to eduardo and stupidity of gallas. tell me any other team which came close to pulling it off that miracle. sadly philosophically we are against sugar-daddys. we have one in Usmanov and we refuse to take any money from him. we are what we are. we will play footy the Arsenal way.
situation is much better now with some 100m+ in bank (all earned BTW not donated by some rich guy). we will have to be judged from now on. sadly a change in manager and tactics are very much needed to get us back in title contention.

among all those we(most gunners) only regret Cesc and RVP. rest all left either because they are shit or because they are past their prime
@chelseaboy said:@deepu Ashley Cole???
great player shitty personality. while you can say we missed him, i can't imagine many gunners wanting him after what he did to us.
Another day another win...... Still cant believe how good Utd have actually become at ecking out results these days.... hopefully a date with chelsea awaits....
