Football Club -- Part Deux

Fabello Capello Resigns....
This is what happens when you strip John Terry of his Captaincy...

More Troubles for England FA.
EURO 2012 right around the Corner...

:cheers::cheers::cheers:

Gr8 to hear the news from someone in PG.... didnt know that...

English football association is in a mess.... they dont know what they are up to and what to do next.... betw John Terry shouldnt have been axed, who will captain england now... scott parker looks a good bet..

England anyway wouldnt have won the Euro's... Spain and Germany r way tooooo good !!!:-o

i dnt think capello had the credentials to lead england anywhere anyway
but i think the fa should realise and make a permanent captain
i say make joe hart the captain the most stable player
england do not even create upsets in any major competition but this time i think they ll reach the semis
germany the best bet atm but spain and holland are not far behind

Keeper as captain won't work for a team like England when they fail to gel together as a team during their national duty, though now comparably better than 5-6 years before with the inclusion of young players like walcott, wilshere etc Also, Hart cannot be said as stable at this point. Have to wait and see how he performs irrespective of the position of MANC in EPL. Captaincy is really a serious issue for England though, when players like Gerrard and Lampard are not assured of a place in starting XI.

I would love to see Germany lifting both EURO and the world cup.

Btw I'm new to this thread ... :

Germany is having a very good team but you can't rule out Spain and Holland either!

well capaello had a bet with redknapp that, if harry is cleared of his charges, then capello will quit and so it happened ! 😁

Big game tomorrow

United Vs LFC at OT...like always it is a mid day fixture in UK to control hooliganism.

Just hope the game isn't all about Suarez! LFC would have to be at their best to avoid defeat here. I personally don't think Suarez can handle the abuse..just hope he does not react adversely on the pitch. (Evra acted very professionally at Anfield....Big test for suarez)

P.S - It's kind of funny how this is the only "BIG" fixture in EPL that has lived up to it's expectation everytime it happens whatsoever be the form of the teams involved.

All The Best 😃

Now what had suarez done!..Snubbing evra outstreched hands.Fergie was right in saying his action could have caused a riot. I wonder why this immature behaviour. Both club managers have given assurances in advance and then we got to see this. Now no justification can justify suarez this act.

Meanwhile Old gem scores again for gunners:D

It's about your belief. It's not about justifying racism by any means

As kenny said "If someone accused me of being a racist and I whole hartedly know that I am certainly not, then I wouldn't shake their hand either"

Don't want to reignite the Suarez-Evra debate again but, Suarez had every right to not shake hand with someone whom he does not like.

We've seen Roy Keane, Paul Scholes, Rio Ferdinand, Gary Neville in the past. They have refused to shake hands in a game with someone they did not like due to various incidents. (And they have a right to do that as does Luis).

Now what I do have a problem with is Sir Alex calling Suarez a "DISGRACE" and "should never be allowed to play again for LFC". Sir Alex has just lost respect in the eyes of many very limited no of LFC fans who actually had any for him.

P.S - Although I dont have references, but where Suarez was completely wrong was that when Kenny had issued a statement that he'll shake hands then he should have. This is where he has kind of let his manager down. (Having said that he has every right to do it...but when Kenny had committed, it looks very very bad)

"Outstreched" really?

http://www.thisisanfield.com/2012/02/video-evra-refuses-suarez-handshake/

Yes...
I think both have again let down their selves yestrde..

Remember, Wayne Bridge had also snubbed our JT26 some 2 years back...

There are always 2 sides of a Coin...

Saw the Reaction of Evra after the match ?
He was crazy and that could have let to some fights , jabs outside the stadium with the fans...[ It might have also happened, but, its no where in the news]

The whole media spotlight in EPL now is the word "Racism".
I guess, England are heavily pressurized on that issue worldwide...

2-3 years back, there wasn't much issue of Racism n all, even though the players abused each other acc. to their Race.
Now suddenly, there's a huge hue n cry over Racism...
Times changing !!! :wow::wow:

Looking ahead Man City's match todayy...!!!

this is because players use racial words these days, even suarez admitted saying those words. I'm not supporting Evra though, what he did after the match was wrong too. but suarez had a chance to close the chapter and he didn't.

Dude, honestly, look at the video carefully. Look at the video at slow-speed (there is an option for that), and then comment. Especially at 0:15. Are you suggesting that the entire media, who have their eyes glued on this issue, missed this thing? (And was picked up by a fan site?).

Suarez absolutely had every right to do that, no law actually prevents him from not shaking a player's hand. But it is totally unsporting behaviour. He chose to reignite the issue, when it could have been easily put to bed. That is the main point of contention. And he still does not agree that he has done anything wrong, nor does Kenny Dalglish. And that is where the problem is.

The difference (quoting from soccernet):
Evra's post-match celebrations, aimed at the United fans but in the direct vicinity of Suarez, could also be deemed potentially inciting behaviour. Ferguson claimed he did not see Evra's actions, but when informed of the incident the Scot replied :"He shouldn't have done that."

Bhai the video is on youtube. Agree it has been circulated by LFC fansites/twitter pages. But just trying to present a case here. Media has been very very biased in their bashing of suarez.

Another school of thought says Evra wanted to play the victim card again in the handshake incident. (which looks a bit too much to me frankly, so wont comment anything on that)

That's where the whole debate is. Suarez believes he DID NOT racially abuse Evra as whatever he said was in *friendly spirit*.

so if he did racially abuse evra --> Suarez is indeed a disgrace for not shaking hands and everything people have been saying.

Guess this is a part the media has been missing. They're focussing on the fact that a player has been punished for his sins and he did not accept that he has sinned. They're completely ignoring that the punishment was entirely *probabilistic*. Had it not been probabalistic, he would have been facing criminal charges now.

It's a matter of opinions.

Please don't talk about Scholes and Roy Keane... Because Suarez himself admitted that he had called evra *Negrito* and then he gave lame excuses that it was a friendly gesture in Uruguay. How the hell can mocking someone for his color be friendly????

Evra clearly came out as a gentleman, though the celebration at the end was wrong on his part.
As much i hate liverpool, but they have a glorious history, no doubts. And Suarez is tarnishing all that.

P.S. - Never expected this from Dalglish... He said that he wasn't aware of suarez snubbing evra's handshake. The whole world saw that happening, Kenny!

P.P.S-(This is for the STILL deluded liverpool fans ) Maybe snubbing someone's handshake is a friendly gesture in Uruguay!

double post...

Oh and Suarez has apologised now for not shaking Evra's hand. Step in the right direction. But just goes to show how accurate the fansites are. Honestly, I wouldn't refer to them, unless for news on academy players.
This is a sincere request: please do not believe these fansites too much. Do not let your opinion be shaped by them. This is only detrimental to football.

Official source.

That should put the saga to bed. (Unlike what the media has been trying anyway let's not go there).

This statement was only issued I think by suarez because Kenny had said he would shake hands before the game. As Jamie Redknapp said, "why should there be a handshake? there wasnt any andshake in Chelsea QPR game? If you run into a person on the road whom you dont like, you dont shake hands with him. It's as simple as that."

There was a post earlier about not talking about Keane/Scholes...

I did not mention their names to accuse them of something. Just saying that they have, in similar situations, acted very similar to what Suarez did and they have every right to. (and believe me, Keane's charges have been much much more serious than Suarez)." />

Hey guys first of thank you all for such a mature discussion..... i was going through your posts and i did not find one single comment disgracing anyone or calling names.... this is what football club - part deux is all about...:o..

Coming to my view..... agree with all those sentiments shivam but dont you think was something worse than arrogance, but as a club liverpool has actually handled the matter worse than suarez himself, first the T-shirt worn to support suarez and 2nd the stubborn attitude of kenny dalglish, "what on earth is he thinking defending suarez like that" of course as a manager he is entitled to but everything has its limits...

I really hope this suarez saga dosnt take down with it this one gr8 institution of football:wow:....

Well I know I am little late but just come to know about the saurez-evra issue.
Well you guys have already discussed a lot and made your point very clear. But I wanna say something, what saurez did was never expected at least by me, I was his great fan and admired him a lot. But he did wrong thing. The very first thing any player learn in his/her life is sportsman spirit. And that gesture was absolutely unacceptable in the world of sports.
I'll not comment much in this issue coz I don't have much idea. Saurez was one of my fav player but he let me down :|.
