Man Utd boss Ferguson tells Udinese to delay Sanchez decision. Inter Milan fear missing out on Udinese star Alexis Sanchez toManchester Unitednext week. Mediaset says Udinese supremo Gino Pozzo met with Inter officials this week to discuss Sanchez, but ended the meeting with no agreement struck. It's understood Pozzo has been urged by United intermediaries to wait until next week - after the Champions League final - before making a decision on Sanchez's sale. United manager Sir Alex Ferguson wants to discuss a deal for the Chile international, but will not move until the season is over. Rivals Manchester City have also expressed interest, but burned their relationship with Pozzo last week when refusing to make a serious offer after he had flown to England for scheduled talks.

Seems like Redknapp to Chelsea is just a rumor because most of the top contenders like Mourinho, Hiddink have ruled themselves out of the race so its just the bookies who have suddenly changed the odds in Redknapp's favor. Also, I've heard that Van Bastan is one of the Worst possible managers and most people are not at all in favor of him. So this leaves someone like Deschamps or Vilas Boas - now that would be interesting!!!

If we are 1-0 or 2-0 down.. Get Nani in for Park and 1 more subs as per the player not playing well in his position..!!
How to make this formation work..?
When pressed back hard down the flanks we will defend with 2 LB n 2 RB with Valencia and Park supp Evra and Fabio and we will break in from dere for a counter
WE dnt need a 3 man midfield as Giggs defend and attacks plays both roles as a CM.. Carrick will sit behind most of the time.. he has to pass the ball either to Giggs or Park most of the times thats his role and tackle n defend most of the time..!!
In order to cope in the middle Park will be switching his positions from flank to middle to support them as and when required..
Rooney also tracks back to defend rather than an upfront striker so he will be playing in the hole as well as midfield a lot..
Park and Giggs will be switching positions on a normal counter against Barca.. I saw them doing aginst Schalke and it was effective..
It will all come down on the counter attack and i feel they are quite vulnerable and will be hit..!!

It will be heavily guarded game i.e. both teams would rely hugely on defensive style....MaTch will be taken to xtra time or possibly to penalties...........

Eventhough I am diehard fan of Arsenal, today I would be supporting our rival Man UTD simply bcoz I hate Barcelona winning with their theatrics on the field. Today I hope the referee would be active on the field and stop the drama to be done by Busquets and their Co.

I would have agreed with a 3 man midfield only if Fletcher was upto complete match fitness and match sharpness.. but he isnt that was completely evident aginst Blackpool with an awkward backpass to Vidic resulting in a FK which Charlie Adam scored..!! I m nt too sure if he will make the bench ahead of Anderson.. playing a trio of Scholes/Anderson, Carrick and Giggs in the middle would mean we are nt going to win the match for sure..!!
Seeing last few games Hernandez can score in the 1st 10-15 mins.. he evn scored in the 1st min against Chelsea and it will rock Barcas world if they are struck with a goal so early.. Huge impact.. No need to wait till 70th min
I wouldnt play Rooney upfront alone.. hw many games has he played recently upfront as a striker than a CAM or as an AM in the hole as a Support Striker..
And asking him to play final as a lone striker would be a big goof up in tactics

I'm almost certain that Hernandez will start. Seeing Fletcher's recent form I don't think he will start.

i completely agree with usual manutd formation given by shaun.
playing rooney upfront would be very big mistake bcoz firstly rooney's form as striker this season has been poor, so he was given role of CAM. for manutd it has been hernandez and berba. Secondly who will make those telling passes and run up and down the field like a work-horse in absence of Fletcher whose is not upto his standards.
finally with Valencia and park's work ethic and team play we surely would be defending with 9-10 men, so maybe you can except Barcelona to play in manutd's half for a longer period of time. The chance for utd to score would be counter attacks and corners.

Arsenal did not take the game to Barca at Camp Nou.. they sat back and were doing pretty good until the ref screwed it all up.. u cannot take the game to Barca..they will kill u on counters!! Hernandez wont b effective if he starts against Barca..hes rather more of a super sub 4 me.. No Fletcher, and Messi, Iniesta & Xavi wil take United to the cleaners.. Ferguson has to pack the midfield..get the early goal and then hold fort.. that is the only way u can get past Barcelona.. ManU fans pray and pray hard that the ref doesnt get mesmerised by the Barca players.. else it all might be over in a jiffy!!
