I have purchased FRM digital package from GARP. I am willing to share it with others for a reasonable price or in exchange of Bionic Turtle/Schweser material. Objective is to share resources to get access to multiple preparation materials.
I am in US, so it will be possible to share with others only in US. If anyone in US is interested, please send me a message.
Good luck to all FRM aspirants!
Kumar

quote=ssu039;1058300]Hi buddy,
Unfortunately last years FRM maestros are not currently active in this thread, to give a review on the Bionic Turtle.
But as far as I have read and watched Bionic Turtle, I do like their products.
Bionic Turtle has been 4 years in to FRM, and its owner David Haraper is the singlemost and best resource on FRM in this world. His advise and guidance are pretty good, also he is pretty quick in responding to Queries and all. Looks like you havent read his articles on FRM, they would definitely make an interesting read.
At 299 USD(1200 INR) applicable till May1, I think its quite reasonably priced. Probably I would signup for their program.
That said, Again one cannot ignore the Schweser Program.
FRM exam is getting tougher day by day and the GARP is following a policy of restricting entry to the FRM. So it makes sense to study & practise using diverse materials, before we sit for the final exam.
In my personal opinion, I absolutely need to have these study materials.
I am looking at the Schweser website and they have mentioned about 'Schweser Study Notes Pack', which is $179. Then their is 'Schweser Essential Study solution' which is of $349. The later one provides practice exams, quicksheet and some blah, which is not included in Notes Pack.
Any suggestions on which one is worth purchasing? I heard that Schweser Notes are also available to download from rapidshare? any idea?
If you are in Mumbai, you can purchase the same for Rs 1200.

I just started with Quant section of Schweser .... want to get done with quant at the earliest...
Irtiza..in the eg u are refering to - the calculation starts with t1 cashflow(when N=5), because theres no cashflow at t=0...else we'd have started at that.
Regardless of when the calculation of the FV is done( t0 or t1), FV should be the same.
i had a question regarding quantitative analysis.
on page 19 example of schweser notes book 1, why doesn't the calculation start from t=0 as we are calculating the future value?
Can we take stock, guys? Lets see how well our preparations are going. This'll bring some of us (atleast me) face2face with the shocking reality of how the preaparations should be going.
Roughly 4 months from the exam, I havent even touched OR and CR, and though I'm done with Tuckman and Hull, I have my doubts on the comfort level with the questions
Altho' reading so much is a fail-proof method to passing FRM, I really don't think there is enuff time to read all tht stuff. FRM HB + Shweser itself will take around 50 days of FULL time study... Add CR+Bionic and tht makes it another 50 days at least, imho..
Request any/all of the FRM aspirants in Hyderabad willing to take inperson training from Pristine careers to contact me for availing group discount . I have Schweser FRM 2008 Notes , PJ Handbook 4rth Edition , also a peaceful study room with high speed internet(I do not have any video tutorial but hoping to purchase bionic turtle video tutorial )for those willing to form FRM study group and participate in study sessions. Wishing all of you good luck for exam
Hi All, I am an aspirant of FRM2008. I have 8 yrs of IT exp and currently doing my Executive MBA program. I have question on the FRM eligibility rule. It says that one needs to have 2 years in Financial Risk handling experience. Does this mean people who are from other background ,like me, are not eligible to go for this certification? I have worked in BFSI domain. Can it be shown as Financial experienece? Also do I have to furnish proof for this financial risk experience?
I would appreciate if anyone can clarify this doubt.
Can you provide me any link where from I can get the study material of FRM in SOft Form.
Hello friends !
FRM exam has evolved into a very comprehensive and a globally respected risk management qualification by now since its inception 10 years ago.
It holds its examination once a year in November and I am looking at the November 2007 exam. I do intend to pursue the program and appear in November 2007.
This thread therefore is intended to discuss out all issues relating to FRM exam and also for sharing information/study tips and reading materials of Schweser....basically pooling resources in a way that benefits all the exam takers.
FRM was being discussed in the CFA thread also but I think its better to keep that thread exclusively for CFA discussions. Hence I have created this thread.
Feel free to pour in your thoughts.
For your convenience, I am posting the details as an attachment.
Regards.
PS: This is no attempt to advertize the qualification. Mods please take notice.
