I think admission process will take place on 11 th July, so when should we reach there to get hostel. Will hostel allocation also will take place on 11th only? We all will be with our big laggages, so will we have to wait for amission process & hostel allocation & all with our luggage, then only we can go to hostel or what?
What are the things we should bring with us?
What else we should do before coming there, I mean reagrding admission.
No intimation has come to me yet.
I have sent the money 7 got the acknowledgement also, what else other than sending DD?

I believe the admission process and the hostel allocation will be on the same day so you will have to come with your belongings and wait while all fees are paid and the warden allocates you to your room. You probably need to bring all your belongings that you may need to stay in a hostel.
Make sure you bring all your original certificates and documents like 10th, 12th, Degree certificates and mark sheets. Also make sure you have your migration certificate and TC. Also, if you are working , make sure you have the release letter from your company.
Also, bring a few notebooks and stationery as classes will start soon. You will get the syllabus from the department on the first or second week and you can plan to buy the text books. They can be ordered through the book shop on campus or you can get it from your seniors (I have quite a few texts from first year and can help in this regard). Try and get a room in one of the newer women's hostels like Kalpana Chawla hostel as most of the MBA students are already there. You can always mail the student representative - Parthiban ([email protected]) for any further information. He might be able to help you with most of your queries.
All queries regarding the DD and office will have to be directed at the office. Hope this helps :)
DMS = Department of Management Studies and is related only to MBA(General) course. The selection is through CAT and GD/PI. SOM = School of Management, DMS+MBA(International Studies)+MBA(Tourism)+Commerce department and Economics Department. Their is no entrance exam for this course.
The admission process for 2012 batch to DMS, Pondicherry University will start on 12th January , 2012. This will continue till 23rd Febuary, 2012. The alsyt day of receipt of the admission forms by post is 2nd March, 2012 and the GD/PI will be in mid week of march. All the best to all the candidates!!!
The placements of DMS is going on very well which started at the end of last month. Till noe the highest package is 8.5 lacs offered by Bajaj auto finance. Other companies that came for placement are TCS, Cognizant, PRODEX, HDFC etc to name a few. trhe cut-off for general category is around 70-75. Since this is a government institution there is a reservation for the SC/ST, OBC, etc and the cut off these categories is usually lower than general category.
how to take admission in SOM(banking technology or inteernational business).............how to apply for it and when would be the notification will be out.............. i've given my cat and my CAT score sucks into 29%ile.................is there any chance in getting thru SOM................. how is placements for SOM........? plzz reply........... thanks a ton in advance..........
