Lets say she bought 1000 apples of both types. The cost of first type would be Rs.40 and that of the second type would be Rs.25
Total cost = Rs.65 and quantity = 2000 apples
Total sales = 2000*2/ 65
Profit/loss = ((4000/65 - 65)/65)*100
= ((4000/(65*65)) -1 ) * 100
= (0.9467 -1 ) * 100
= -5.325%
i.e. a loss of 5.325%
