1. Chief Economic Advisor Raghuram G Rajan has been appointed as the next governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for next 3 years. Rajan will replace D Subbarao, who completes his five-year term on September 4, and will be the 23rd governor of the central bank. Last year, Rajan was appointed as the Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India. He has formerly worked as the chief economist at the International Monetary Fund.

Various programs, activities and events are being organized throughout India to spread awareness among people about the importance of donation of organ.
