Someone tell, how to solve this.. I'm stuck with too many arbitiraries..   Eight persons J, K, L, M, N, O, P and Q all belonging to the same family are sitting around a circular table, facing the centre ﴾with equal distance between each other but not necessarily in the same order.﴿
O sits second to the left of his wife. Both the immediate neighbours of O are males.
J, the wife of M sits third to the left of P. P is the daughter of Q.  Only one person sits between J and P's sister.
Only three people sit between L and N. One of the immediate neighbours of L is married to L K is not an immediate neighbour of O.
P's only child is an immediate neighbour of P.
Only two people sit between N and one of N's parents.

An amount of 12820 due three years hence, is fully repaid in three annual instalments starting after one year. The first instalment is 1/2 the second instalment and the second instalment is 2/3 of the third instalment. If the rate of interest is 10% per annum, find the first instalment.

A person lent out some money for one year at 6% per annum simple interest and after 18 months, he again lent out the same money at a simple interest of 24% per annum. In both the cases, he got 4707.
