Plz Help!! Hi Friends, I am in a great dilemma, plz help me out from this. Currently i am having 3+ years of working experience (WEx) in IT sector and planning to write CAT 2018 1st time, will have 4+ year of WEx by that time and might be i will quit my job for the preparation. Kindly suggest is it a good decision of writing exam of having 4 years of experience and will it effect in the selection process of IIMs , ISB kind of institutes. Note: I heard it is difficult for admission for the guys holding more than 3 year of experience. Plz help!

Last minute tips for CAT 2017:

1. Take Mock Test at the exact time slot on your admit card.

2. Try focusing on stuff one by one and avoid multitasking.

3. Forget all night studying, a good night's sleep is key to doing well in exam.

4. Stay positive and keep yourself motivated.

5. Trust yourself. You know more than you think you do.

Soln plss

Best of luck for tomorrow, you guys. I was in your shoes last year. You have put in a lot of hard work and dedication. I'm sure you'll do well tomorrow. I don't have any tips or DOs/DON'Ts for you as I believe that every person's experience tomorrow is going to be different. Just go in with an open mind, expect the unexpected, take the exam as it comes, and most importantly, remain calm. All the best! Hoping to see some of you at IIM Calcutta next year. Cheers! #PartyAfterCAT!

Reposting my brief article from other thread.

Finally, the D-Day is here.

The day that will be the culmination of all the effort put through those late nights and early mornings. Its the day you have been waiting for since the past year, or maybe more. I know you'll all make sure it's worth the wait.

A few pointers, in case you find it useful:

1. MOST IMPORTANT: Please please make sure that you are well rested. It sounds easy, but trust me, many of you won't be able to sleep  the night before. Happened with me. And a lot of others. I wasn't able to sleep for a minute before the exam. Trust me when I say this, your mind will be cluttered with thousands of thoughts on the night before exam. You'll have to make sure you get ample sleep.

2. ‎The hardest part of the preparation is over. Believe me, you couldn't have been better prepared, contrary to what most of you may be thinking right now. You may choose to chill or to revise some basic formulae tomorrow. Totally up to you. Just do whatever your gut tells you to do.

3. ‎A lot of you might be thinking of giving up right now and trying again next year. I would quote someone for you: "You have not come this far to come only this far". Attitude is what matters right now.

4. ‎There might be many instances during the exam when you may feel like giving up. DO NOT GIVE UP. I repeat, DO NOT GIVE UP.!! Trust me, CAT gives you atleast 2-3 attempts to make a comeback. The battle is actually not lost till you leave that room after 3 hours. My strongest section, VA was bombed terribly as I was sleep deprived. But I somehow managed to perform decently in the other 2 sections.

5. Lastly, just keep in mind the reason why you embarked upon this journey. Keep it in mind always. It will give you that extra push that you will definitely need in the exam. If you are feeling short on motivation, you might watch a short youtube video: Time for War

ALL THE BEST CHAMPIONS.!!

GIVE IT ALL YOU HAVE.!!

Trust me, you'll be glad you embarked on this journey.

Waiting for you on the other side...

*Important* *General Note* *No promotion*

This is a just a small note for all CAT aspirants 2017. CAT is in 1 day . You have worked hard for this day and gave your best you could. Now it is the time to shine during exam.

You may get negative feelings , fear, confusion, disappointment. You may get worried for your scores in mocks. You may not be able to solve tough questions posted in various CAT groups.

*Simply Don't*

This is a crucial phase. Your mind should be free from any negative feeling. You should be positive , healthy and happy. Be ready for the D-Day.

We are saying this not as a teacher or guide but as an experienced candidate.

DOs :

1. Just go through the formula, basic concepts and some marked questions of mocks or notes you wanted to go through.

2. Get your print out done for admit card, paste a passport photograph as mentioned. Check the centre. If possible try to book a cab/auto or arrange commute a day before. You may even check you centre a day before to see where exactly it is located and what's the distance or time . Else simply confirm the location.

3. Relax, take a break, go for a walk, try to watch some light videos (inspiration or animation), talk to a friend , have a good sleep tonight.

DON'Ts:

1. Don't solve any more mocks today. Your mind should not get exhausted with too many mocks. Keep it high for the D-Day!

2. Don't panic when you see tough questions in any groups, notes or books. If you cannot do you can try to get the solution else ignore and think it won't come in CAT .

3. Don't sleep too late. Don't miss food or over strain (Take care of your health).I am there to guide you.

If you feel down , we can call you. If you want to chat one to one for any query or any issue , you can message us.
