Hi,

The CAT mock test has been released by IIM Lucknow. What i observed is that the LRDI and quant sections of the provided mock are nowhere to level of CAT.

Is this mock provided just to give us a 3 hr CAT experience or will the level of the question given be close to the actual CAT exam?

What's your stand guys?

Chalu sold a fan to a lady for Rs. 800. The lady gave a Rs. 1000 note to Chalu and he returned the balance of Rs. 200 to her. He later found that the note was a counterfeit. On the same day, he bought two tube-lights for Rs. 100 each. And he made the payment through the same counterfeit of Rs. 1000 and got the balance of Rs. 800, in the form of denominations of Rs. 100 and Rs. 500, back. Later on he sold the tube-lights at their cost price. In the evening after closing his shop, he found that the Rs. 500 note that he got from the tube-light shop was a counterfeit. If the fan was sold at its cost price and Chalu participated in only the aforementioned transactions, then what was his overall profit or loss?

(Please explain the approach as well)
